Another one for Appletons unique approach to developing our players BFsterI’m surprised by this one, I must admit. Seemed to by highly thought of by Leicester supporters, although has struggled to make an impact…
Personality clash with our happy go lucky manager would be my guess.Very surprised. Better leave it at that.
I think it’s becoming increasingly apparent that there wasn’t exactly a ‘meeting of minds’ between AppoDog and the previous recruitment team…Another one for Appletons unique approach to developing our players BFster
A total nonsense!
That’s what l thought we bought him as he wasn’t ready for the championship! Not Championship ready but I thought he could have been one for the future especially if we do get relegated. Hope it doesn't come back to haunt us.
Panic buy to appease fans is my betDoesn’t say much for the ‘system’ that was recruiting players.
He just isn’t the player we need at this moment in time. We are short of the big lads and ball winners. We were possibly right club for him just wrong time.Good.
Passer-by who, unfortunately, wasn’t good enough at this level. Whether that be technical ability or how light weight he was, I’m unsure.
They usually get a bit longer than September to January!!Not every single signing works out.
I don't see many players getting time and space when I watch the Premier League!!The Prem is an easier place than the Championship to cut your teeth. You get time and space …….until you to within shooting distance of goal, where you run into a brick wall. In Div.2 ( old money), they flatten you on the halfway line. Wright, Poveda and Patino have learned that the hard way. They will, all 3, be better for it.
I expected him to see him go this window but not on a permanent. It also highlights it’s now one permanent signing this season and he’s not a regular.
Shows you how difficult it is or we’ve made it to get the quality required to effect the starting 11 on our budget in this League.
Maybe these Coventry guys have a better idea.
However this plays out I still have grave Mis-givings about Appleton’s man-management and coaching skills not to mention what he does on a Matchday! The writing was on the wall when Appleton hauled him at half time against West Brom,I don't think he's featured since other than a late appearance on Sat
You have hit the nail on the head.If it enables a signing with more maturity and readiness for the here and now it will be a good move.I should imagine he's being sacrificed for a type of player we need right now.
I’ve called Grayson 2020 vibes and it’s looking like we’re on for it againI expected him to see him go this window but not on a permanent.
Says on Plymouth site they were after him last summer so they've got their man in the end if true. Wonder if they made a cost saving on it, going through us instead of Leicester.
Maybe by the end of the window we'll be looking back on some of the moves made similar to when they moved out Robson & Williams for Dougall & Stewart after only a few months and when those two became available.
It's busier than I thought it would be already!
£5400 a week allegedly.Callum Wright has not been a regular starter even when we have been down to the bear bones in midfield. He looks lightweight for the Championship to me and he has quickly become a fringe player who is unlikely to change the course of a game. Appleton knew Callum Wright when he was coaching at Leicester and still has contacts there plus he gets to see Callum Wright in training every day. I think this transfer is good for all parties especially as Wright was on a 3+1 contract and probably one of our higher wage earners as well. Timing isn’t perfect and this transfer puts further pressure on the Recruitmrnt team and Ben to bring in more new players very early in this transfer window which IMO is no bad thing.
Argyle go a lot on data analytics these days to identify young players that they can develop & sell on for profit. In the last couple of days they've signed young uns from Norwich & New Zealand. I hope their data analytic computer suddenly hasn't got a virus with Callum but I suppose their recruitment policy this year has worked out well for this season.I’m waiting for Pasty Muncher to provide his views on this fastball!
Might be a better set up and level for him to get going in his career at the moment. The shape your gaffer has you set up as he should be able to find him a role in one of the number 10 positions without exposing the midfield. I think you've just lost a lad back to Swansea who did a similar job.Argyle go a lot on data analytics these days to identify young players that they can develop & sell on for profit. If Callum does half as well as Hardie then us Greens will be happy
Well I think you’ve got a great signing. I’ve no clue what we are playing at dealing him after 4 months! Yes it appears he's replacing Whittaker who's gone back to Swansea so they can sell him....he'd be a cracking signing for you lot if you can afford himMight be a better set up and level for him to get going in his career at the moment. You won't find much data analysis from his time here PM!Argyle go a lot on data analytics these days to identify young players that they can develop & sell on for profit. Doesn't reflect well on the recruitment of the summer but I respect the swiftness of the move. Cut our losses, he did look shit, think we've got enough "ones for the future" on the books.
Nope - that's mainly down to the crazy number of injuries we've have. The summer really was abysmal and is the main reason we find ourselves in the current situation.
I think we need to wait and see how results go first before we all accept all is well and we've avoided relegation.Reading the above comments from many BFC supporters regarding C Wright it struck me that SS knows exactly what is required to purchase the relevant players to give our manager a chance to move the club further up the league table. This as everyone on here will know is going to cost a
lot more money to aquire the quality of player needed. Situations in football change fast going for player 'A' as apposed to player 'B' as we know can be thousands of ££££s more. Is it not time to back off & support the club the board and Simon in all there trying to achieve and stop all this criticism and negative opinions.
