Wolves v Blackpool Official Matchnight Thread 29.08.23

This football match will not be representative of our season.

We're not even taking it that seriously, we're giving minutes to our fringe players.

There may be a time to say Critch out or Sadler out but it's not tonight (it's not Saturday either btw :) )

It’s not our first team etc. wolves are 2 divisions above too. Is what it is. Roll on Saturday and a proper match against Wigan where I will care about 10x more

It was blindingly obvious to anyone with the slightest modicum of football knowledge that Dobbie should have been given the job.

My problem is...If Sadler wasn't the owner (and Ive never thought he was the Messiah), who could be?
I have no idea, but my problem with Sadler isn't the infrastructure stuff, it' all the stuff around the football side, which he doesn't seem to have a clue about, and he's had long enough to be competent, he is, frankly, the dullest bloke in the village. He loves a boring, dull manager and I don't thing he's going to change. He had a chance to give Dobbie a chance when the supporters were right behind him but he went back to a manager who stuck 2 fingers up at him and then failed, not once, but twice and he took the fucker back. It's that. that boils my piss.

There are ways of losing , yes they are at home , yes they are prem. but like I said there are ways , even I am now getting worried , and I am willing to give time to critchley. But we are not scoring , look a very poor team at moment
system isn’t suiting pool or players not suiting the system he wants
I wotry sat Simon does spend the cash , it’s wasted on players who can’t play systems or formations

Just what we needed a confidence booster! I do hope Critch runs over and fist pumps the travelling fans before he heads off to talk about the positives with Simon..

Wasn't expecting anything from this game but we can at least try and attack, instead of constantly playing ball backwards and sideways, just the cost of one of there players cost more than our whole squad possibly more than it cost Simon to get control of our club, just have to keep backing the players and hope things change not sure 5/3/2 suits the players we have, maybe critch needs to rethink his tactics.

We are sadly lacking ideas around passing and attacking on the ground.

Far, far too often we go long, and wet get nowhere near it.

We need to rethink the formation and quickly to give our forwards a chance.

At the moment it feels like we are a poor team with no leadership from the manager. I thought when Downes came as Director of Sport ( or whatever his correct title is ) then our recruitment would have improved . But seems on similar lines to before, but with fewer loans as yet.
