The sooner the tory party stop their navel gazing and start doing what they are paid for -running the country- the better for everyone. All you hear from every tory mp who is interviewed is they have to do what is best for the tory party. How about putting the country first and having a GE.

We probably need something akin to a war cabinet to deal with our forthcoming problems, not someone who might make the headlines all about “him” in some sort of Westminster soap opera that never even gets round to trying to sort out all the stuff that needs doing.

His side saying he has 100 backers but seems likely to be bullshit , we will see. The figures published at present re those publicly endorsing him suggest he wont get 100 votes.
 
Boris and Sunak had a meeting today according to various media. No details about what is was about. If Boris has at least 100 MP’s on his side he will be favourite to win the Conservative Party members vote like Truss did.....
