Definitely keep Dougall, solid player. Always puts a performance in
Bang average on that data.
Yes he does, usually a bad one.Definitely keep Dougall, solid player. Always puts a performance in
No he wasn't, he's a wembley merchantDon't understand the Kenny bashing at all. He was one of our best players in League One last time.
Mismanaged and played out of position since Critch left. He'll be solid again this year
Completely disagree. Sat in front of the back 4 he was very tidyNo he wasn't, he's a wembley merchant
Is he? A Wembley merchant is he? A merchant of Wembley? No he wasn't, he's a wembley merchant
Do we need a player who hides rather than looks to recieve the ball & then when gets it immediately sends it back from where it came.No he wasn't, he's a wembley merchant
Let’s not forget the two goals that got us promotedDon't understand the Kenny bashing at all. He was one of our best players in League One last time.

How could we forgetLet’s not forget the two goals that got us promoted
One good ball in a full season, well worth his wage. As are his 9 yellows last season and the innumerable times he gave the ball away in dangerous areas. A liability get rid.My mind goes back to the Notts Forest FA Cup game and the superb ball he played to set up Hamilton for his goal. The game today is a squad game Dougall will be a good player this season for us.
And never took one decent corner/free kick as I recall but we still persisted in using him.One good ball in a full season, well worth his wage. As are his 9 yellows last season and the innumerable times he gave the ball away in dangerous areas. A liability get rid.
I'm talking about this coming season in Division One, he will be a better player for us as will most of the retained players.
Why would anyone be moved on? With all the players released we’ve hardly any left as it is - and there’s little sign of us signing anyone!Thankfully the person in charge of football decisions is Critchley and not the members of avftt. In his previous time here he really rated
Dougall, and played him at almost every opportunity. Cricthely has always liked 2 players for every position, and if I was a betting person I
would say that Trybull will be the player that will be moved on, as he wasn't signed by Critchley and will be on the most wages.
He really rated Maxwell but most posters on here, including the Critchley disciples, have slated him. Just because Critchley rates somebody it doesn’t make them any good. It’s all about opinions my boy.Thankfully the person in charge of football decisions is Critchley and not the members of avftt. In his previous time here he really rated

So the only opinion that matters is Critchley’s then?Except your opinion is not important the only one that matters is Critchley, as for Maxwell he will be sitting on the bench somewhere next season on a lot more money that he can earn at Blackpool at his age that was always going to happen.
Oh what a nightLet’s not forget the two goals that got us promoted
Don't underestimate Critchley!Whilst I think he'd be a great signing, would it open the door for one of Dougall or Trybull to leave?
3 x defensive, 30ish year old midfielders wouldn't all play together, surely.
So the only opinion that matters is Critchley’s then?
Is that the same Critchley that walked out on us by any chance?
He wasn’t very opinionated that day never even bothered to say goodbye.
Fans are for life not just till the next big pay packet comes along for a turncoat manager.
Exactly, yes a league one player, we need to aspire however to players who after promotion from L1 can step up and be better than Kenny in the ChampionshipDon't understand the Kenny bashing at all. He was one of our best players in League One last time.

Baccus is an international and at 23 is still a really good age. You can see why either club would invest a fee in him and watch him develop.Yes we've also been linked with Baccus, but to be honest what we need is experience in my opinion so it wouldn't surprise me if we've made Norburn our priority. Especially as we tried to sign him in the championship too when Critchley was in his first stint as manager.
We have a number of good young players but few who can provide leadership.
Yes, as mentioned. I vividly recall a Friday night game, against Colchester I think, we won 2-1. Alan Ball was manager and was interviewed about the game on On The Ball or Grandstand (he was newsworthy) and he just said 'I've seen a star tonight'. Sat at home having been at the game I thought, who? The interviewer obviously had the same thinking and asked who. Bobby Doyle was the reply. No 4 shirt, or do I have that wrong? No 8 perhaps.Bobby Doyle ?
They have beaten us to BaccusShould be completed next week - fee is around £350k I’m surprised that we’ve beaten Bolton to his signature.
Norburn’s ok, but I think Bolton have got the better player, for less and 8 years younger. He might not have been in our plans of course. They have beaten us to Baccas.
Hope not. A Critch signing and has been a good player for this club.
And I think they are paying £100,000 less!Norburn’s ok, but I think Bolton have got the better player, for less and 8 years younger. He might not have been in our plans of course.
Do not forget that part of last season he was coming back from being out for the best part of a year, following his ACL operation. Towards the season's end he was back to his old self.Bang average on that data.
I’m not holding my breath on Norburn signing either for that matter. This has all the makings of a typical Blackpool transfer window. And I think they are paying £100,000 less!
You need to move on from that.So the only opinion that matters is Critchley’s then?
Is that the same Critchley that walked out on us by any chance?

Fans of clubs are for life not just till the next big pay packet comes knocking for a turncoat manager.
According to the Sadler/ Critchley interview he wasn’t his choice for obvious reasons. Sadler said and I quote I wanted anyone but Critch. If that was the case the obvious choice was Dobbie. So out of his own mouth he didn’t want Critchley, but he expects us to welcome him back with open arms and forget he shit on us ffom a great height. Sorry but not me and I suspect I’m not the only one. Having said that I will support the club as always but still think Critchley is a snake and will not trust him again. You need to move on from that.
What's done is done, and it should have been handled better, of course, but the reset button has been pressed and we start again.
Could be worse. Sadler could be a corporate fraud, robbing pensioners and small businesses through dodgy contracts, sat in jail awaiting trial because he can't be trusted not to do a runner.
Critchley is Sadler's choice for obvious reasons. He brought us plenty of success and hopefully will do again.
Notorious was Bally for building a player up to levels he couldn't possibly attain to.Yes, as mentioned. I vividly recall a Friday night game, against Colchester I think, we won 2-1. Each to their own Phil but Critchley is a snake in my eyes. You need to move on from that.

Oh come on, it was obvious that his comment about Critchley was tongue in cheek. Clearly said because he was disappointed he left us in the first place. Blatantly clear so let's not try to twist it. The fact they were so comfortable sat together whilst the interview was being conducted tells you that. Don't let your disappointment or anger with Critch leaving blinker your view to something that was blatantly obvious.According to the Sadler/ Critchley interview he wasn’t his choice for obvious reasons. What he actually said was he didn't want to go back to Critchley after previous experience with going back, but after a full exercise at looking at available candidates, Critch was far and away the best qualified and that persuaded Sadler to change his mind.According to the Sadler/ Critchley interview he wasn’t his choice for obvious reasons. No.4 I think. I was there. And yes, that's what he said. Wasn't he sold later that season?Yes, as mentioned. I vividly recall a Friday night game, against Colchester I think, we won 2-1. Alan Ball was manager and was interviewed about the game on On The Ball or Grandstand (he was newsworthy) and he just said 'I've seen a star tonight'. I may have twisted his words a little but the sentiment is the same and doesn’t detract from the fact he’s a snake. What he actually said was he didn't want to go back to Critchley after previous experience with going back, but after a full exercise at looking at available candidates, Critch was far and away the best qualified and that persuaded Sadler to change his mind.
Not quite how you presented it.
So you twisted his words. I rest my caseI may have twisted his words a little but the sentiment is the same and doesn’t detract from the fact he’s a snake.
I wouldn’t exactly say they were comfortable together. It looked more like an errant schoolboy, having been chastised by the headmaster, trying to apologise to his victim without saying sorry. And he’s still a snake.Oh come on, it was obvious that his comment about Critchley was tongue in cheek. Clearly said because he was disappointed he left us in the first place. Sadler said Critch would always be welcome back when he left, you don't give a manager a four year contract if you are uneasy with him.I wouldn’t exactly say they were comfortable together. It looked more like an errant schoolboy, having been chastised by the headmaster, trying to apologise to his victim without saying sorry. And he’s still a snake.
At one time that was a career ending injury. Even if healed some players are finished. Think Michael Owen after his operation.Do not forget that part of last season he was coming back from being out for the best part of a year, following his ACL operation. Towards the season's end he was back to his old self.
If he sells Yates he hasn’t spent anything has he? Let’s hope Norburn will be our Casemiro.Sort of solid CM you build a team around. Will do the dirty stuff that lets other players thrive and hopefully brings the leadership in the middle of the park we’ve been lacking. Basically Keith Southern. How we stumbled upon Keith all those years ago and managed to keep hold of him is a real mystery.
If we are happy to pay £350k for a 30 year old who’s recently recovered from a long term injury I think it shows Sadlers willing to spend more than some are giving him credit for.
nope, you're view is clearly tainted by bitterness.I wouldn’t exactly say they were comfortable together. It looked more like an errant schoolboy, having been chastised by the headmaster, trying to apologise to his victim without saying sorry. And he’s still a snake.
Stop talking shit. Sadler didn’t have to appoint him.I wouldn’t exactly say they were comfortable together. It looked more like an errant schoolboy, having been chastised by the headmaster, trying to apologise to his victim without saying sorry. And he’s still a snake.
Seems to me that people are afraid of changing their minds having spent a year slagging off Critchley like a jilted schoolgirl.I wouldn’t exactly say they were comfortable together. It looked more like an errant schoolboy, having been chastised by the headmaster, trying to apologise to his victim without saying sorry. And he’s still a snake.
