I think it’s fair to say everyone has had a poor afternoon. A thorough root and branch rethink of everything required to stabilise us. Forget about dominating teams with mega press, athleticism and dangerous mobile passing. Back to basics.
 
Another baffling Critchley substitution!
Two goals down and he brings on Williams.
Surely we need another striker on.
I’d rather lose trying to chase the game than go down lamely.
I still think this squad has enough about it if Critch sorts out the lack of experience in the spine.
Nothing to be gained by dumping Critch but his body language and lack of charisma worries me.
 
Should have been Evo, we would have Charlie now pulling the strings in midfield.

1-4 now, I have been the same as Puma, but we are truly awful, men against boys, literally and what seemed to be a fantastic managerial appointment, based on his Liverpool credentials, but little else the fact is it looks like we have made a big managerial mistake again. Will Sadler keep faith with him for the season, or will a couple more games like this mean we will be looking for a new man and stuck with a load of kids?

So how long do you give it? Being such a young squad confidence will be rock bottom for some time....that’s why a mixture of youth and experience is a far better option
 
Yates looks like the guy you give a game to cos he turns up every week but is headless and not very good. Ward cannot cross. Williams brings nothing. Madine looks past it. Gabriel very inexperienced. Turton bang average and mistake ridden.
Today was men against boys. We look like a bang average league 2 side.
 
An old fashioned bollocking might be needed now and again but don’t Critchley think has got it in him. That’s me I’m not going to post for the rest of the evening.

I’d get an experienced Number 2 in to help guide Critch plus a solid, streetwise Centre midfield & captain (a Barry Ferguson/Jay Spearing type).
Then I’d give Critch until at least Christmas.
 
Five games in (not incl. cup) and we haven't found our starting 11. I can't recall an impactful sub and we are relying on two new, relatively untested signings to plug some very big gaps. Could be a long couple of months
 
Not many positives, but considering we let in 4, I thought Marv looked better than he has done previously. No one else has made a case for inclusion.

Williams is the worst player I've seen in 50 years. Why he gets on every week I just don't know.

Thorniley must wonder what he needs to do when we've an ineffective right footed full back in his place.
