Blackpool v Hull City Official Matchnight Thread 15.12.20

Leave Sullay alone.

(though I'd be thinking about Kemp for him or Anderson, not pushing Garbut up, Garbut is lethal coming from deep, but he's not a winger imo)

Was literally about to write 'Dear Neil, all I want for Christmas is you to not ever play Jerry on his own up front ever again' on the twitter and the lad scored.

Well matched teams. Good game. CYOP!

They're a strong team and dangerous on the break will be a very interesting in 2nd half and has been said the timing and substitutions could be crucial.

Like Greenall as summariser. Not a bad half. They look dangerous going forward with their number 7 and big number 9. We had some good moments with Garbutt's shot coming to mind and a few half chances. Need to ask more questions of their defence. Kaikai infuriating again.

That pass upfield, what vision. Garbutt = quality

When we have someone who can hit a ball like that, why on earth are we so woeful at set pieces? Floaty shit, rather than whipped in, lucky deflections, pressure on the goalie, defenders struggling. Sorry, Critch, I just do not get it.

Superb ball from Garbutt ,good anticipation from Yates other than that we had posed little threat. They scored a good opportunistic goal.

It`s anyone`s game from here.Let`s hope we can kick on now.

We just need to be cleverer or cute with the ball in the final third; a little bit of extra quality and ingenuity, especially considering we have Garbutt, Kaikai, Robson, Anderson & CJ all on the pitch, would go a hell of a long way to unlocking the Hull defence.

Hull are top of the league, we're more than matching them; there is nothing for anyone to be slitting their wrists or throwing the baby out with the bath water over.
