Yates wins for me, the goals the workrate, what else can you say.
Dougall second. Fully agree with everyone who links his arrival with our gear change. I loved how, when Jerry broke his duck at Burton and wheeled away you could see Kenny gesturing to the rest of the team to come over and join him. He'd only been with us about half an hour! Nowhere match fit when he arrived, but it never seemed to matter. What else could he have achieved this season without the covid disruption?
Third, if I could I'd give it the whole team for what they've achieved and they've done it. To finally feel a full connection again with a group of players has been wonderful, haven't felt it the same since the end of Holloway's time and the immediate aftermath where you knew exactly what they were capable of as long as they showed up.
But to pick one, with apologies to everyone else's excellent season, I've gone for Thornily. Critch had told him he was free to look elsewhere, but our injury problems meant he stood in many times and never let us down.
