It’s died a death. Was always a bit pie in the sky.Last docs uploaded in Jan.
To me, looks like an argument over Greenfields and boundary lines between Blackpool and Wyre
Needs to be sorted very quickly….in a matter of days in fact.Still steaming ahead was the party line the other night
what concrete evidence was given?Still steaming ahead was the party line the other night
None, sure it'll be in the minutes when they decide to release themNeeds to be sorted very quickly….in a matter of days in fact.
If not a new planning application will need putting in. Starting the whole process from scratch again.
what concrete evidence was given?
I don’t think there’s much to say on it.None, sure it'll be in the minutes when they decide to release them
The horses are still there and the farmer was ploughing the fields today, obviously getting ready for the first brick lolAnybody? Tick tock…….
Planning application runs out in less than a week.
The clubs training ground should be private full stop. They should have followed the Poolfoot model
Private when training but otherwise open to be booked and used by the community
It would make a decent ROI
The council hasn’t given planning permission. And why do we not think it’s happening ?
I’d hazard a guess it doesn’t stack up financially
The financial part is interesting because where exactly is the money coming from to finance both these projects? And why do we not think it’s happening ?

I, like most of us on here, don't have access to his finances, please share your information with the rest of us!The financial part is interesting because where exactly is the money coming from to finance both these projects?
I know he has said it would be personally funded. There is no way he can afford to do that so maybe he can’t borrow the sums involved??
I’ve no idea. But if you think he’s going to personally fund £40m on capital projects then you’re in cloud cuckoo land. There’s no way he can afford to do that.I, like most of us on here, don't have access to his finances, please share your information with the rest of us!
I think you're on the right track BISONS. It's absolute pie in the sky. OystonesqueI’ve no idea. But if you think he’s going to personally fund £40m on capital projects then you’re in cloud cuckoo land. There’s no way he can afford to do that.
He's in the hedge fund business, one of the few businesses that makes money whilst the rest of the world suffers! In his business £40m isn't a big deal. As I say though, we don't know anything about his personal wealth so it's unfair to make assumptions!I’ve no idea. Loans to the club is not really using his own money is it?He's in the hedge fund business, one of the few businesses that makes money whilst the rest of the world suffers! I’d give him the benefit of the doubt but he’s very secretive.I think you're on the right track BISONS. It's absolute pie in the sky. Oystonesque
Why are you, and always have been, such a negative t w a t on everything to do with bfc? Do you support a rival team by any chance,?I’ve no idea. But if you think he’s going to personally fund £40m on capital projects then you’re in cloud cuckoo land. There’s no way he can afford to do that.
I’d be staggered if his personal wealth is anywhere near £40m so to suggest he’s going to spend that sort of money brings questions. He's in the hedge fund business, one of the few businesses that makes money whilst the rest of the world suffers! I'm no expert in the financial field but who's money is he loaning, assuming it's all loaned, if it's not his?Loans to the club is not really using his own money is it?
Yet people feel able to make comment on it rather than just question it? Strange, eh?I’d be staggered if his personal wealth is anywhere near £40m so to suggest he’s going to spend that sort of money brings questions.
We are kept fully in the dark so nobody knows a thing about what’s going on.
He’s clearly invested a few quid but let’s face it he got himself a bargain.I'm no expert in the financial field but who's money is he loaning, assuming it's all loaned, if it's not his?
It’s just the lack of communication and the total lack of information being given to fans.Yet people feel able to make comment on it rather than just question it? Strange, eh?
If I take my money loan it to the club I own and the investment goes tits up the club can be closed down to repay the debt. Glazers got away with it because football at present is run in a fiscally irresponsible manner but it won’t always be that way.I'm no expert in the financial field but who's money is he loaning, assuming it's all loaned, if it's not his?
Well someone is still paying for the reports carried out in December. It’s died a death. Was always a bit pie in the sky.
How do you know he’s a good guy? You don’t. All you can do is match words with actions and follow the money. He’s clearly invested a few quid but let’s face it he got himself a bargain.
I like him, he’s a good guy but he really needs to start communicating more.
I agree that communication is important, let's hope this new fan engagement nonsence help in that respect. The bottom line though is that we've never really had any communication worth talking about but now that we're awash with online information, be it true or false, we all want more and more! It’s just the lack of communication and the total lack of information being given to fans.
I’d imagine he’s ruthless in business but buying Blackpool FC when he didn’t need to knowing he will lose money isn’t the action of a bad guy.How do you know he’s a good guy? You don’t. All you can do is match words with actions and follow the money.
That’s my thinking.Maybe Poolfoot will be on the market soon..ready made TG
Poolfoot pails in comparison to the training ground plans that we have. That’s my thinking.
POCA = cut-price, ready made TG.
Better than the one we’ve got planned and it brings in cash.
It’s a no-brainer.
SS agreeing to our TG being closed to the public and at the same time flinching at the cost, is just another example of where he’s been badly advised.
Do they ?Poolfoot pails in comparison to the training ground plans that we have.
Whether they happen or not.
I’m not so sure about that.Poolfoot pails in comparison to the training ground plans that we have.
Whether they happen or not.
Do they ?
How
The scale of the proposals would engulf that little place in Thornton. The facilities far superior.Do they ?
How ?
luckily it’s more about the team then. The reality is that for ten years for one and seven / eight years for the other both FT and AFC have had facilities that shame us
One day …..
Not attached other than I can see the huge benefits to a communityYou seem quite attached to it Tim for some reason?
luckily it’s more about the team then.
The TG plans dwarf Poolfoot in every way. I thought you’d have seen the plans?
The main building alone is 3 times bigger. Not attached other than I can see the huge benefits to a community
Have you ever been to ' the little place in Thornton' and seen how busy it is ?
I am still waiting for you to actually identify why Garstang Road would ' engulf it '
Fleetwood is 30 acres and we have acquired an 87 acre site.I've not had my measuring stick out but can't think why' we'd need something three times the size of Poolfoot
You seem a bit tetchy? Almost as if you’re a Fleetwood fan!I’ll look forward to seeing that and working out quite how we plan to develop a TG three times as big and for what purpose
The one at BFC is very small and more for BFCCT I thinkThe size alone could be a problem: it will cost more for maintenance, basic running costs, with no income coming in from the paying public.
A few other bits don’t feel right, imo:
The pylons - esp. the one overhead the main 1st team pitch.
The design of the building styled to match the brown trees on the perimeter.
The public right of way through the middle of the site.
The main entrance onto Grange Park, not Garstang Rd and the fact they think zero security isn’t an issue.
The small car park.
The large area towards the East side of the site, where floodlights will not be allowed due to residents.
Ponds on site - safety concern.
No canteen or restaurant for the players, just a kitchen.
No consideration to future proof the design.
The lack of any attempt to engage with the local community. I know they will have the one near Bloomfield Rd, but two options are better than one.
From the plans, show pitch is behind the main building, a good distance away from the pylons. The rest are either to the west or the east of the pylons. Everything under them is landscapingThe size alone could be a problem: it will cost more for maintenance, basic running costs, with no income coming in from the paying public.

You’re right about the show pitch, but that will only be used for special matches, not all the time. From the plans, show pitch is behind the main building, a good distance away from the pylons. The rest are either to the west or the east of the pylons. Everything under them is landscaping
Building design probably to 'fit in' with the natural surroundings.
Public right of way is rerouted around the site.
Main entrance is a tricky one I guess. You' d maybe have to look at getting turning lane put in place, its a 40 road I think.. turning coaches into the site cause an issue? who knows.
Car park is stated at 105 cars + 4 coaches
East side is largely untouched. Probably to maintain a boundary. Floodlights are on show pitch and another central pitch.
Ponds to cover the + net bio diversity.
I got bored and spent a few days picking over it
