Start playing our best available players in their correct positions in the right formation and I don't care who we play, we will get enough points.
If he persists with this disfunctional 4 4 2 then I have no doubt we will finish outside the top 6.
It's funny how things turn around and it is of course down to who is fit and available.
Early season when we losing and playing 4-3-3 Critch was forced by the messageboard to play 4-4-2 and Niggles Madine stepped up to the plate and recognised that playing was part of his job description.
Gary picked up his injury and 4-4-2 has gone out of the window.
Looking at the performances over the long forgotten 16 game unbeaten run I mentioned the "backs to the wall" performance against MKD and the Posh game but we shouldn't forget Gillingham when we won 4-1.
The Dons (1-0) Stewart and Virtue but the other 4 were Ward Embleton Kaikai Yates (4-2-3-1)
P'boro (3-1) Dougall Ward combo for the 1st time with Mitchell Embleton Kaikai Yates (4-2-3-1)
Swindon (2-0) Dougall Ward with Embleton Kaikai Simms Yates (4-4-2)
Gillingham (4-1) Dougall Ward with Embleton Kaikai Simms Yates (4-4-2)
Simms has statred every game since Swindon so I'll say we've played 4-4-2 ever since which is 3 wins 2 draws and 2 defeats.
In the 16 match unbeaten run Simms started 12 times. The 4 he didn't start in (MKD, Oxford, Posh & Plymouth) we won 3 and lost 1. In the other 12 we won 6 and drew 6.
Of course he has started in the last 2 defeats.
Can I just say I'm not picking on Simms with these fscts I'm looking at the formation.
Make of that what you will but basically I thnk too many players, and Jerry in particular, are running on empty.
