The goal machine

I think this is what worries me. Did Critch play the system because the quality simply wasn't there? Like when Pince was playing ugly and got pelters for it. Soon after we were relegated.

Tommy

I know I'm only stating the obvious but surely Critch adopted a system that he believed to be the most effective for the players at his disposal.

He did a good job while he was here and everybody would agree that he left the club in a better position than when he left - that is everybody who was asked a day before he left !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am of the opinion that Ince also did a good job with what he had available to him, we had absolutely no business staying up in the 2013/14 season and only did so because of the results achieved at the start of the season.

We were not entertaining but we were not supposed to be, we often rode our luck but we stayed in games for as long as we could and gave ourselves a chance of getting results and this ultimately ensured that a very limited squad for the Championship managed to stay up.

Sorry Tommy, I've changed the subject, I'm thinking I should have just said that Critchley played a system best suited to the quality of the players available to him.

Gaz and Kenny. Two players you don't half notice the absence of when they aren't playing.
Get mobile players around Gaz and magic will happen. It is written.

If your going to play the ball up to Madine play it at chest height
His control is good enough and the defender has to foul to get the ball

He's always been slow and he's picked for his physicality, doesn't help with his gait being permanently set at 10 to 2.
