Take a chance on Evatt.

End of day it’s about creating confidence and team spirit and I reckon Evo would do that
The rest is just complicating a simple game

Creating confidence and motivation are the main roles of the manager IMO. As Ollie says in that article that has offended people so much. He doesn't seem to understand though that Grayson had diminished confidence and motivation, and was struggling with his own confidence, and maybe his own motivation too.

Right, stop it, he’s not coming and that’s official, stop these ridiculous threads

We basically have a 'free hit' for the remainder of the season. I think we could do a lot worse than bring Evo in. He would certainly re-introduce that feel good factor that Grayson so swiftly sucked out of the club. He's the people's choice. Go get him Simon 🧡🧡

Ha ha ha you pleb, its true so grow the F*** up

I thought this was a football message board where people talk about their thoughts, their likes and dislikes without uncalled for unpleasant remarks, but then there are always the odd person like yourself who can’t stop themselves, I see the change of board has made no difference. There’s a large proportion of the support who favour Evo, get over it.

Same old user names on here giving it large, why am I not surprise.

What is ? The fact that you think you are right cause you know a few posters

I’ve never said I was right, I’m not expecting to be right, I’m just saying who my preference will be, at the end of the day whatever anyone says on here won’t make a jot of difference to the decision, but there’s nothing wrong nailing your colours to the Evo mast, we’ll wait and see who it is and then hope they can pick up the dressing room.

Fair enough, I’m just letting you know it won’t be Evo. I’m as keen as you are for an Ex legend to be the manager. But believe it or not as much as a ( well known member ) you are other posters know things you dont. Get over it.

Everyone’s a well known member. You could be right about Evo, it doesn’t stop me wishing he wil be the next manager. I never said I know anything, show me where I have, I’m just giving my opinion and contributing to a message board. Stop making things up about people that aren’t true, it’s ridiculous.

1. Communication
2. Quality in the work (of coaching)
3. Ambition

This is forms part of the presentation Brendan Rogers gives when he starts in a new club and introduces himself to the players. If it is Nathan Jones vs. Ian Evatt then Jones edges it on his depth of coaching experience. However, the more I think about it Evo is also a strong candidate because of his ambition and has clearly stated that his vision is to manage Blackpool. If Jones is hedging (no pun intended SS) then Evo becomes the clear choice in my opinion.

Evo gets my vote, was a very talented footballer, performing miracles in his first coaching role, wants to play football the right way and a decent bloke, throw in his illustrious history in Tangerine and the fact the fans love him it’s a no brainer. Something about Jones I don’t like, I think Evatt is the least risky of the two despite his lack of experience.

Most will reckon Evatt is a bigger risk than Jones because of the non-League vs Luton argument.
But Evo’s philosophy will translate exceptionally well to LG1 and our set up

I'm confident he'll be Blackpool manager one day, the question is when. Will probably be an end of season job if he were to be next, with Dunne taking the team until then. Don't think we can wait that long tbh

I think, on reflection, whilst I was amongst those who wanted Evatt, I think at this moment in time we need someone with a bit of experience, guile and who will come in and shake the place up and hit the ground running. I don't think that is Evo sadly.

I think it is Evo.

Come on Mr Sadler, Evo has all the credentials. Look at the character of the man. He's as solid as you'll get. Look at how he's gone about things at Barrow, incredibly thorough, and playing modern football on a tiny budget, coaching and improving players. Let him stay at Barrow til the end of the season. Better to wait for the right person.

Odds are back up on SkyBet and it shows Jones as evens with Heckingbottom just behind him at 13/8 and then Evo at 8/1

That interesting. Seems the bookies are guessing. Is Sadler moving his position a bit? Less set on Jones? I hope so. Needs a thorough recruitment process.

I think so. Info is very well protected at the club these days, I don't think there have been any leaks. I know we both want Evo, but it will be who Sadler prefers at the end of the day, all I ask is that he takes his time and interviews several applicants. Better to take time now and leave David Dunn in charge, it isn't going to affect our season now.

Have either Evo or Barrow said anything publicly yet? If not, then Evo must still be in with a chance - they were quick to go public when Fylde came knocking!

I’m warming towards Evo being the next manager but still think he needs a very good and experienced no.2 (e.g. Thommo). We all love a BFC legend and Evo is up there, but l wouldn't like to see him fail at his beloved BFC due to a lack of experience in managing at L1 level none of us would. The reason why neither Barrow or Evo have said nothing is maybe because discussions are taking place in the background with a view to release him at the end of the season. Just a thought.

There are plenty of people knocking about in football with loads of experience in coaching and handling players on a day to day basis who could support Evo in the job. Many dont want the exposure and pressure if management, but are crucial to the success of a club. Evo would probably bring one or two people from Barrow with him. Chiefly Peter Atherton. I would imagine.
