Sorry if I have missed something , but seen on the bst survey that we’re getting a supporters club . Is this gonna be ran by the club or fans and where is it gonna be ?
A good idea if its independent and it can be registered with the Football Supporters Association on the same level as BST and even BSA.Sorry if I have missed something , but seen on the bst survey that we’re getting a supporters club . By the fans, for the fans, at a venue not far from the ground.Sorry if I have missed something , but seen on the bst survey that we’re getting a supporters club . Is this gonna be ran by the club or fans and where is it gonna be ?
Pictures mate? Some vandals were daubing tangerine paint on the railings of a club on Bloomfield Road yesterday
And the hot pot with red cabbage.Pie and peas in the old supporters club was awesome .............was that 30 years ago
They don’t want to
Would like to see the many other clubs' supporters groups involved in a season long quiz. Must be half a dozen at least and then you've Preston and Fleetwood with maybe AFC.Is there a plan for using it on the 340 days a year when BFC aren't playing at home?
Many members of different Blackpool fan groups don't want all the groups amalgamated into one because they like the integrity of their own identity. Quite a few fans though, are members of more than one group already. PROVIDING ALL SEPERATE GROUPS REMAIN AS THEY ARE, I don't see any problems with the secretaries of all groups getting together and ALSO creating one massive list of fans under the title of 'SEASIDERS FANS OF THE MIGHTY POOL,' or with a better thought out title for us.Is it just me or should all these groups be amalgamated into one big supports group?
Although there would need to be a consent method for data sharing. We can't just issue out personal information. Many members of different Blackpool fan groups don't want all the groups amalgamated into one because they like the integrity of their own identity. One group always has more clout.Although there would need to be a consent method for data sharing. We can't just issue out personal information.

Not really. The group with the clout is BST with a national profile. One group always has more clout.
With a bit of luck the clout that the BST umbrella group has will be diminished, and all the football authorities will be listening to ALL the fans. Not really. The group with the clout is BST with a national profile.
Thats what I thought it meant ! i.e. A bar/club for fans to gather. If it isn't why ask the question 'when would you use it' ?Aren’t some people getting a bit confused here? By Supporters Club I think they mean a physical club where you can go in for a drink etc. Rather than a Supporters Club as per Leyland and Chorley Seasiders who are a group of fans who rally round a flag to form a Social Group who organise to travel together to watch matches and will buy blocks of tickets to sit together.
So a Club as in an establishment rather than a cohort (cos its a posh word I’ve heard being used a lot lately)!
With a bit of luck the clout that the BST umbrella group has will be diminished, and all the football authorities will be listening to ALL the fans.
If the FSA wont allow the Yorkshire Seasiders,Leyland and Chorley etc to become affiliates then it needs shutting down in my view.
**All fans should be careful about passing on your contact details to BST, just to make sure these arent passed onto the FSA who have previously refused to give guarantees on this. Personally I think they've abused this in the past and targeted fans who wont 'dance to the tune' so beware.
It is exactly how I read it too. It is a Supporters Club as in the Number One Club or the Bloomfield Club whereas the likes of BST, BSA, YS etc are supporters groups.Thats what I thought it meant ! i.e. A bar/club for fans to gather. If it isn't why ask the question 'when would you use it' ?
Agreeing aims and objectives would be 'interesting'They don’t want to
It is indeed but I havent said that. What I have said-to be clear-is that from my experience the Football Supporters Association (and some of its umbrella groups like Leeds Trust) cant be trusted with personal information and I am advising Blackpool fans to exercise caution. The suggestion that BST would pass on individual information without permission is a serious allegation.
FSA was like that before the merger though, there were associate and affiliate members with the same rules as BST said above. All that appears to have happened is that has carried on as before? It is indeed but I havent said that. What I have said-to be clear-is that from my experience the Football Supporters Association (and some of its umbrella groups like Leeds Trust) cant be trusted with personal information and I am advising Blackpool fans to exercise caution.
One aspect of FSA governance has been to change group membership criteria as its suits and at times bypass usual democratic procedures to get in the people it wants. That included using the block vote at the EGM (merger of SD and FSF) to prevent groups like the Yorkshire Seasiders to have full voting rights.
From a Blackpool Supporters perspective that might involve groups and individual fans being excluded from things like the allocation of Wembley tickets, priority on away tickets, meetings with the club and now priority of fans coming back to BR; many of these issues have cropped up nationally and Trusts like Exeter have ruined things for their supporters-where there is no supervision of how Trusts operate. (apart from me making a nuisance of myself at Conference-smiley)
Like I've said many, many times BST are a fine example of how to run a Trust and deserve all the credit thats going, but the FSA are for me just a bunch of one agenda parasites who really dont deserve time of day.
No offence like

No problem anybody challenging anything but the issue for me is with the FSA and the way they operate, and that was the point I am making. All groups have to abide by the rules of association where the FSA use email addresses to claim (to the FA etc) that they are largely representative. At one point they stuck a figure on their website until I challenged that and Clarkey and the boys dropped it.To be fair Plumbs your post suggests the risk lies with BST not other trusts
BST were right to challenge that
Making a very good job of the outside aren’t they? The pictures that I have seen of the inside are pretty impressive as well....... good luck to them, I know I will be supporting the venue when it opensSome vandals were daubing tangerine paint on the railings of a club on Bloomfield Road yesterday
Ah the pies and Mushy peas....will they do pie and peas and a pint of dark mild? essential pre match feed when underage drinking in the old club
It needs support when it opens. A brave initiative that I hope is well supported by all fans.Pictures look great I see they have had planning refused for a media screen to go on side of wall that is knackered... can't see the issue really, hopefully they will win appeal.
Just hope it is financially sustainable... it is looking good.. great work
