Squad next season - Keep and get rid

My understanding is that any player who was contracted before the 6th August 2020 does not count towards the salary cap. Hence why players were mainly signed early in the window AND for long contracts. After the Oyston years it is very hard to fathom that we have a strategic thinking management team who have mitigated the impact of salary capping as much as possible. Puts is in a strong position compared to most other teams.
That’s interesting actually and I think something I’ve forgotten.

I can see Robson staying then as he wouldn’t count against it as he signed on the 6th, or would that make him count? He most likely signed the day before so wouldn’t count. Williams being released, Sarkic moves out on loan and possibly not taking Wards option of another year.

Can’t believe some want rid of a 23 year old attacking based player in Lubala who’s on a 3 year contract and expect him to be amazing from day one.

He has shown glimpses and works hard, id say let him settle this season then I reckon next season he will flourish.

Also don’t understand the flack Turton gets, he’s solid enough and can play in numerous positions, I’m not saying he should be starting every week next season but I’d definitely keep him on as well.
What other positions can he play?

He's played CB this season and we got absolutely battered.

I'd love to know...

We need to work with Bez, raw and on a long contract we need to get him playing.

Turton’s done well for part of the season up to now, he is one dimensional but Saturday was a big reality check for me. Hull are really the standard this year if you want to get out of the division. We’d have to be up around that quality of player next year. Turton was woefully lacking against them. Worrying for him.

Think the words are 'on or before 6th August' so Robson probably doesn't count.
