I don't remember anyone being that brutal to be honest, I remember Batman used to float along the flagged floors, skeletor like with his cape billowing around him and Tank Sherman getting redder and redder in the face before he exploded!Yeah that’s him! Used it a lot didn’t he, but wasn’t as brutal as some though!
How he put up with all the ragging I'll never know. Avid steam train photographer / author as well. Died a few years ago in Carlisle if you weren't aware.Wiggy at KGS. Unique and never forgotten.
Was a nice bloke, Derek Slater. Had him for two years, and then Rowell. Both proper old school, who really belonged in the grammar school days.Anyone have Mr Slater for Latin at Collegiate. Looked like he was always about to spontaneously combust when his face went bright red. Great teacher though I got 94%.
I wasn't. Good guy who took a lot of shit with a remarkable calmness, looking back. How he put up with all the ragging I'll never know. Avid steam train photographer / author as well. Died a few years ago in Carlisle if you weren't aware.
Another with Latin A level here. Fraction also comes from that same root. Not sure about fractious but I wouls guess so.When is fractured not broken? As someone with a Latin A level (not the only one on this Board), the etymology is from frangere, meaning to break
Can we bank on that Scott? Can confirm that the announcement will be made sometime soon.
Could be at 3pm today, could also be at 7pm tomorrow. Also would be surprised if it was made on Thursday too.
Trust me on this one.
Was my scoutmaster too. Always seemed OK to me, I don't remember him being a beater. Tanky Shearman on the other hand was very handy with the gym shoe.Ernie Payne

Love the “judgement too early”... there’s a couple on here who claim to have done Latin might not of understood that bit.... the only Latin I understood... is very apt for me... nil sine labore.....I did Latin too. It's very useful. It teaches you to think about things logically, as it's very structured. It also teaches you to look at things in their entirety rather than making judgement too early, as the order of the words in a sentence is not fixed, so you have to read the whole sentence before you can understand it.
Sometimes it's not about knowing something, it's about knowing how to do something, and applying that elsewhere.
Nixon: Thought Banks would be done by now. You want him for opener. You won’t pay for Moxon as it stands.
(Club are checking if they can use the failed medical excuse again)
Must be true thenNixon said

Well seen as though this whole thread is going off what Nixon has said then it seemed relevant, this whole thing could be complete and utter bollocks we can only go off what he's saying right now.Must be true then
Its a rumour on twatter nothing else and it seems all you have to do on here to get a ton is start a rumour. It’s all gone quiet, is this one slipping away?
Nixon always reminds me of Jasper Carrot's description of the PR department at Sellafield "talking bollocks . . .The thing is with Nixon is that you can usually tell when he's chatting shite as he uses things like, multiple clubs in for him, lots of competition for him, or he just won't respond to tweets about it. He seem pretty sure with this one so I'm hopeful, however I'll fully belive it when it happens.
Its a lifestyleYou've set a cracking pace on the moaning front ATG , sure you can keep it up all season?
Pace yourself a little, hold some back for 'special' supercharged whingeing occasions.
Don't forget this is Blackpool nothing goes smoothly. How many deals over the years have collapsed at the last minute?!
