Qatar World Cup

Joking aside ,where are all the piss heads going to stay and drink . Its a dry state . Will there be fans zones and tents stuck out in the middle of the desert
 
The initial FIFA draw for tickets was made at the beginning of March.

We got four x TST 4s for England and four final tickets.

We will apply for QF and Semi tickets through the FA travel club and hopefully get them.

If you have a major issue with Qatar - stop using anything that is oil based - if not, stop being a hypocrite 👍👍👍

You are right should never have been selected, FIFA corruption at its most blatant! But I personally wouldn’t be worried to go there unless you were working on one of the stadium construction sites or was going to get pissed on the streets and be antisocial, then you would be in for a shock

Not much of a problem with Qatar, problem with the hypocrisy of it all, the hypocrisy of all the continually offended by everything that don't seem to have a problem with it. Oh and then fact they bought it off the most corrupt footballing governing body ever. All a total load of shite. Looking forward to seeing Qatar in future world cups with the massive progress they will make after hosting the Beautiful games premier tournament.🙄
 
Flew back from Sydney at the start of the lockdown at the end of March 2020, only airline we could get back on, and I have to say it was pretty good.
 
The whole FOOTBALL model over the decades has been corrupt ! FIFA UEFA and the FA, making the decisions as it suits , Money and sweeteners all around. FFING STINKS.

As I said we fund these nations by buying their cheap goods. If it wasn’t for work I would be going.

Trouble is S1 the big drinking Nations won’t be there in any big numbers to benefit but as the Italians are not known for guzzling a rake of ale, oh wait a minute they haven’t qualified 🤭

No, they certainly don't Wiz but I do find it funny - if that's the right word - how folk are so keen to jump on a certain person/country yet turn a blind eye to much worse wrong doing by another person or elsewhere.

As somebody suggested elsewhere, it's like we have favourite wrong uns.

All sports all over the world have sold themselves to the highest bidder and any personal stance from your good self won't make any difference.

Everybody will be watching the games on the box and the main reason that you won't be joined by too many of here is that you can afford to go.

I'd agree that Qatar should never have been selected but nobody has anything to be worried about.

Probably the best time to go to such a place as they will be trying to show the rest of the world that all is good.

That is until the tournament is over and then everything is back to normal.

Well if you were a travelling gay football fan and you kissed your partner in public you'd risk serious punishment. The danger is obviously more direct and apparent than buying Chinese products.

Having been to Qatar a few times they won’t even be chanting you’re only here for the bars full stop.

Anyone that likes a pre match pint then you should pretty much forget it.

Yes alcohol isn’t illegal but outside the big hotels it’s as rare as a frosty morning don’t know if it’s available in the stadiums surprise if it won’t be.

Alcohol will be available around the stadiums and in fan parks as well. No tax will be changed either when selling alcohol outside the hotels.

Apparently it will be just below £5 a pint outside the hotels.
 
Thought doha was superb when I went a couple of years ago.......

Wanted to go for World Cup but couldn't get any viable accommodation for a few days

To be honest, I would like to go as I’ve not missed watching ant least one England game in a World Cup Tournament since Japan 2002.

I agree with all the comments about bad selection and immorality of the countries ethics.

The accommodation costs are “100% Prohibitive” the hotel cruise ships if they happen will be too.

My only remaining plan is to try and secure a second match England Group Game Ticket & “England Provisional Final” ticket and do them on day trips. 🙈 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 ⚽️ ✈️
 
Was looking at staying in dubai then flying over to doha for a couple of matches but the costs for me and the missus couldn't be justified..... Cheapest I could get was 60 miles away and it was 600 per night

Absolute bollox. It would send a loud and clear message to FIFA that we're not supporting the crazy corrupt decision to give Qatar the World Cup and show solidarity to the families of the 6500 migrant workers who have lost their lives building the stadiums.
