Plymouth

1. It was a friendly, generally used as a fitness exercise.
2. You don't even know if Husband played c/h, the whole basis of your argument, that the same mistakes are being made......how do you know?
He might have been played as a striker for all you know......

Good God man.

Watch the highlights. Two poor goals. Needs to
improve, that is clear.

We fielded a different team in each half against a club who just won the league we are now in.
It was our 2nd friendly.
I think you are wetting your bed a bit early.

Different season, same mistakes. The fact it was a friendly is a little irrelevant.

The fact that the potential starting 11 was split in two and the numbers made up with fringe players is very relevant. Friendly’s are what they are, warm up games, training sessions , so, results don’t matter and seasons aren’t defined by them !

Husband is god awful. At complete fault for both goal’s yesterday. I know it was a friendly but it’s what we’ve seen from him time and time again yet he’s still here and some people still seem to rate him. Where was his ‘pace’ for that first goal eh? 😉 @AngelBFC

Looks like Plymouth chose a strong side for 60 mins whereas we went for two mixed sides for 45 each. Lost the first half. Critch said afterwards that we will be giving players more than 45 next time so presumably getting an embryonic starting XI in place.

The main concern is the final third / goals, which is going to be all new and has lost all the quality of Yates Anderson Bowler Rogers from the Dobbie spell. We know we will be organised and disciplined but will there be enough goals in the team?

I think we will bring in some more forward players judging from Critchley’s interview ,and I certainly hope we do !

Just needs to do a bit more treadmill after his summer hols

Will take him a couple of weeks . He ll get it back don’t you worry

Husband had no help with the first goal. He got back into position against the player with the ball, but there should have been someone helping him to cover the 2nd player as they had an overload. Not sure I can fully blame Husband for that.

Second goal, fair enough it was a mistake. It was a friendly so it doesn't matter & as others have noted the primary purpose of these was to get minutes into players legs.

Maybe he should’ve sprinted back instead of jogging and he would’ve got to the ball before Hardie (I assume he was jogging but he’s that fecking slow you never know).

Husband played well at centre half for parts of the promotion season. I like him as a player and would be happy with him at the left of a three but it will take him a little bit of time to get used to the role, this is the time to iron out flaws and get used to the system.
