1) Regional press isn't all that, is it?It was seriously under-reported this trial - you do wonder why
2) Their fans have never heard of the concept of Justice4Fans. Or couldn't be bothered.

Hence the sentence, which is severe. Greed.Sorry but for me the only thing I feel about him being a Pool fan is embarrassment.
This was a long sustained intentional financial assault on many victims. Some of them children’s charities and the disabled. It’s pre-meditated cruelty with consequences to the victims that will go beyond the financial loss, such as the health impacts.
A greedy, cruel narcissistic pig is my summing up.
Servicing the site will be considerable. Thats why the Darlington Arena is coming down - Mowden Park - who own it have no debt on it but cannot afford to run it (even the only bit they use)Why would it be mothballed, Poolfoot doesn't lose money
Poolfoot is similar to Fylde’s facility, in that it’s staffed mainly by students on vocational courses and sports degrees. The funding comes from government. It’s kind of a self-perpetuating job creation scheme - give the non-academic kids something to do instead of college at 16,and when they progress they become coaches themselves.Naïve to think it will continue to be run as it is. Go up during the day when there's no kids tournaments on. Staff all over the place. Who pays them all now there's no one to defraud?
Not a sniff Poolfoot makes enough money (I'm not doubting that it could) to keep Fleetwood Town FC and BES afloat. Something will have to give. Might take time but the ship is going down.
Unlike PilleyI’m out
I didn't say it takes enough money to keep Fleetwood afloat as it clearly doesn'tNaïve to think it will continue to be run as it is. Go up during the day when there's no kids tournaments on. Staff all over the place. Who pays them all now there's no one to defraud?

No you said it doesn't lose money which was automatically disapproved by Bollie who posted it needed 200k to keep afloat.I didn't say it takes enough money to keep Fleetwood afloat as it clearly doesn't
I spend a lot of time up there. Some of the students must have tough paper rounds.Poolfoot is similar to Fylde’s facility, in that it’s staffed mainly by students on vocational courses and sports degrees. I think the bfc college is similar, they just don’t have a publicly accessible training facility.
The judge makes a prima facie case in the sentencing remarks re POCA, I’d think it is as night follows day…So is a POCA inevitable / likely / 50:50?
What are people‘s views on this?
I doubt they will be able to continue with ‘business as usual’ as they suggested.
Whichever way you look at it all surely Codwood is being kept afloat by dirty cash. Not a good image. We all slag off clubs owned by Saudis so not much difference here. The judge makes a prima facie case in the sentencing remarks re POCA, I’d think it is as night follows day…
Looking fwd to that one.13 years sets the bar.
What's Michelle Mone going to get if they go after her?
29 million so pro rata 25 years?
100 percent nailed on certainty.So is a POCA inevitable / likely / 50:50?

Yeah, a few get kept on afterwards, but the majority are just passing through.I spend a lot of time up there. Some of the students must have tough paper rounds.
Two possibilities:If Pilley had a previous conviction for fraud going back to 98 how under EFL rules was he allowed to become chairman?
I think that may have been pointed out to the EFL a few years ago.If Pilley had a previous conviction for fraud going back to 98 how under EFL rules was he allowed to become chairman?

He took over a non league side where the rules about ownership weren't the same when they became a league side stuff all the EFL could do.If Pilley had a previous conviction for fraud going back to 98 how under EFL rules was he allowed to become chairman?
I'm on about football coaches, groundsmen, chefs and the rest who will all be earning dough. It's not a commune.Yeah, a few get kept on afterwards, but the majority are just passing through.
I agree. I guess there may be a case to be made that the length of his sentence reflects the amount of people that were impacted by his actions. For example, if it was 13 then you could say that it was 1 year per victim? But either way the optics don't look good when paedos and rapists can often get lesser sentences than financial criminals. I think most people would agree that this doesn't feel right....I am not going to gloat at any of this, families have been destroyed and lives irreparably damaged on both sides with the sentence looking overly harsh when put up against paedo's and murderers.
On your first visit to this court, your counsel’s first words were to ask that you should not have to sit in the dock. I refused it on the basis that all defendants are treated equally here. Now as you come to be sentenced you tell me through counsel that you feel humiliated and your prison cell is small.
No. The test applies when the club joins or rejoins the EFL. There was a similar question when we got relegated from the premier league, because the EFL should have applied it to OO but they didn’t. Likewise the Premier League should have applied it, but never followed it though. He took over a non league side where the rules about ownership weren't the same when they became a league side stuff all the EFL could do.
I think/assume it has a lot to do with the timescales involved. This was planned and done over a lengthy period of time, not a one-off spur of the moment thing.I agree. Four months imprisonment doesn’t permanently disqualify you As I recall it’s 12 months or moreNo. The test applies when the club joins or rejoins the EFL. Looks to me like they are currently going through the 5 stages of grief and are still at stage one at the moment -Just been reading comments on cod army site on Facebook and they are delusional about how good a man he is and what he has done for them and the town. They do not seem to grasp that his money has come fraudulently.

Yes such is life, if they benefit then they are ok. But if you are connected to this in anyway you may well think differently, Illness and hardshipJust been reading comments on cod army site on Facebook and they are delusional about how good a man he is and what he has done for them and the town. They do not seem to grasp that his money has come fraudulently.
That was only a small reason why Andy bought Waterford, there would be a lot more bonuses to anyone buying them now if they are for saleThat statement is almost word for word same as Waterford.
The fact is Fleetwood cannot possibly sustain a league presence without a major backer and I think they will have to resign from the league.
Waterford is interesting, maybe Sadler can offer to take them over as well given we are actively looking at the Irish market for players and we can loan out promising dev players to a competitive league
Bollocks. It’s football banter. Every club in the same position would do the same. The people singing songs on this thread need to give their heads a wobble. People will lose their livelihoods here and I'd think we had a little more class about ourselves not to revel in that. What Pilley did was wrong he is now paying the price, FTFC will not survive this IMO and that's more than enough. We don't need to sing about it.
Football fans gloat on other teams misfortunes all the time. Sometimes lines are crossed, but this isn’t one of them.Yeh so that makes it ok football banter what a star you are !
