Midnight on november 4th the illuminations will be switched off, until further notice (instead of until New Year, as was planned).

Maybe because it’s not classed as an essential journey going for a tour of the illuminations?I see they're switching them off this week. Might as well save on the 'leccy. Although ironically can you get any more Covid secure than driving down the prom in your sealed car!!

Hundreds of cars full of families and kids driving an hour to get here, then two or three hours up the prom and an hour home. Nowhere open for them to take a comfort break. Limited outlets to buy refreshments. So they all have to pile out at the first petrol station or supermarkket with facilities that they see. Recipe for mass infection.
