Insy, without putting yourself in an awkward position, are you basing that on anything, or is it just your own thoughts?

And if it is to be temporary, then presumably internal?

There are some good options out there and the board need to get this right...if its Mickey Mellon then I wont be renewing Im afraid and I will wait until he has left the club...Im open minded about many of the others out there

Anyway they'd run a book on the time of my next dump if they thought there'd be sufficient interest. So until we've released a short list, or potential interview candidates (assuming that hasn't already happened), then it's all just enjoyable speculation.

And if anyone wants to make a quid or two, I'm regular as clockwork in the working week, so lump on the 3-3.30 tomorrow slot.

Is there any realistic target out there that most people on here would agree with 🤣🤣 I doubt it, waiting for the moaners when the decision is made. I hope for another up and coming like Critch but just someone with a bit more respect for the club than he had

How on earth has Darren Fergusons name got any where near this list?? Anyway I’m pretty sure all this excitement and speculation will have played havoc with CGP1’s constitution so I’m going to have a cheeky fiver on 8am tomorrow morning

With the position that we're in we need someone with serious experience at this level. It'll cost money that SS is going to have to find from somewhere.
There is absolutely no place for sentimental shite involving ex players or previous Club connections. We must get someone who can keep us in the Championship or we may well find ourselves in dire straits for years.

Sorry mate, everyone to their own opinion and all that, but I don't like to see you throwing good money away.

It's going to be very difficult to attract anyone to this job. We are not (and never have been) an attractive proposition and our position in the League doesn't lie.

Someone with creds will either want mucho ££££ on a long contract, or big bumper 'stay up' bonus on a show one.

The rest are a gamble. Most seem to want an ex player or coach. Seems like a risky route with history in mind. People mentioning Ollie .... makes me laugh every time. It would be a feckin disaster. Amusing though.

I think unfortunately we will go down now, the team selection and performance at Watford punctured my hope balloon.

So it's an either/or for me. Mr Motivator on a short term (keep us up) Bonus. Or it has to be the right person with some realistic expectation.
There are only 92 jobs available, it would be a very attractive proposition to a great number of people.

I thought of Flynn - did well at Newport (?) and doing well at Walsall. If they’re meeting someone who’s on his way up from London it could be Warburton. Decent record at most places he’s been ands plays fairly attacking football (4 2 3 1).
It’s Wellens who’s come up from London supposedly

Fcuked Boro right up

Also never changes from 352 so that would be Bowler redundant
Not many managers successful in every job, he has done very well previous. Prob the best we could hope for off the list everyone is banding about. Difficult one experience like Wilder or a newbie like Ramsay let’s pray they get it right.

Callum McIntyre at Chester FC is a great shout a risk but a shout to say the least. Talks so well very motivated knows the game inside out and young too. Full of passion! Watch his interviews on YouTube! I follow Chester too so only saying based on what I see. There's gems in the lower leagues
