So says the outgoing PM
Here's hoping, as she's going to need all the help she can get

Any chance of a clean slate now she's got the top job and can actually influence things? She's one of them who contributed to the country's problems and has shown no sign of rectifying what she caused.
Can't wait for workers rights to be degraded. Get working harder peasants.
Let all murderers leave prison too and give them a clean slate.Any chance of a clean slate now she's got the top job and can actually influence things?
Comparing a democratically elected politician becoming PM and giving her a fair chance to rectify some of the issues which are wrong with country to releasing murderers is ridiculous - and you know it.Let all murderers leave prison too and give them a clean slate.
I've genuinely not seen any of the debates etc around the leadership contest as I don't have a vote in it.She would have my full support if she was genuine but she's gone full UKIP mode to get the job.
Love that. For those who use Twitter you might like to send your messages of support to @liztruss
except that poor Liz Trussell won't thank you. She's already received a congratulatory tweet from the Prime Minister of Sweden and a critical tweet from Caroline Lucas.
No single murderer has inflicted the same amount of widespread damage to this country than those who have irresponsibility gone ahead with damaging our economy. Until all of the current cabinet are gone and that party changes course, they will keep adding more and more damage. None deserve a second chance.Comparing a democratically elected politician becoming PM and giving her a fair chance to rectify some of the issues which are wrong with country to releasing murderers is ridiculous - and you know it.
That's absurd. No single murderer has inflicted the same amount of widespread damage to this country than those who have irresponsibility gone ahead with damaging our economy. Johnson is planning to get behind Liz Truss - with a large knife - watch what happens. So says the outgoing PM
TS, I'm not sure that is fair. She has campaigned on a very narrow and extreme set of policies. She has been elected because that fits more of the Tory Party members views. The Tory MPs did not back her, because they knew how unpopular this would be with the electorate. To action the type of U turn you suggest would probably drive the Tory Party Membership to apoplexy. There are already rumblings from Boris's chums and the ERG, if she abandoned her "manifesto" they would have no problem binning her. I would argue they are easily as extreme or pure as Labour's left wing.I've genuinely not seen any of the debates etc around the leadership contest as I don't have a vote in it.
Let's hope she's only done it to get elected by the Conservative membership (like Keir Starmer adopting most of Corbyn's) and then plots a better course for the government.
Unlike Starmer, the Tories will swing behind her if she does change course because they want to be in power, rather than the ideological purity which affects about 25% of the Labour party membership.
You're the gift that keeps giving Totally absurd commentNo single murderer has inflicted the same amount of widespread damage to this country than those who have irresponsibility gone ahead with damaging our economy. Factually spot on though. You're the gift that keeps giving Totally absurd comment
Stop digging the hole. Your comments are becoming increasingly more absurd.Factually spot on though.
based on her campaign promises to HER PARTY what do you think she is likely to do which will fix the myriad of problems currently afflicting the UK and the rest of the world?Any chance of a clean slate now she's got the top job and can actually influence things?
How’s the financials getting on Germany ?Factually spot on though.
Already talked of another PM by Christmas. 54 votes of no confidence needed to trigger another election.I would imagine it wont be long before theres plenty behind her.
Waiting to throw her under a bus.
There isn't a hope in hell the tories (sorry ERG loons) will swing behind her if she changes course. I'm truly baffled how true conservative supporters think that this country being run by this cabal of nutters is a good thing? I'll stand corrected but I'll predict she won't last 12 months, she isn't bright enough, has zero charisma and is flip flopping to her political masters beliefs.I've genuinely not seen any of the debates etc around the leadership contest as I don't have a vote in it.

Sounds from that like the billions are still staying in Germany whilst JP Morgan will shift some work now they know British workers are about to lose their EU Employee protection rights and will soon be working well over 48 hours a week.

Maybe "Who are you?" is also appropriate“Meet the new boss, same as the old boss”
Or even “Substitute” for “Boris the spider”Maybe "Who are you?" is also appropriate
Strictly speaking, I agree. But you and I both know that the job is more than being 'The first among equals'. Should there be a GE. No, that is a step too close to Presidential Government. So what then? The Tories have gone through 4 leaders and 4 PMs in the past 12 years. Two of those leaders were dismissed by the Tories themselves. It strains the constitution and I'm sure the Queen is thoroughly pissed off with it all. Why? She has the job in accordance with how our constitution works but it’s for her to deal with the problems as she put herself forward for it. Our support is not part of the equation.
If she succeeds then fine but if not we get rid.
I'll see your 12 months and raise a no confidence vote by the end of November. January GE probably with Boris at the helm againThere isn't a hope in hell the tories (sorry ERG loons) will swing behind her if she changes course. Only more stupid, with less charisma“Meet the new boss, same as the old boss”
But that's in the Telegraph. Never believe anything they print.More from Germany: https://www.telegraph.co.uk/busines...cy-have-left-germany-facing-cold-dark-winter/
Germany is facing its worst winter for 75 years. The impending catastrophe risks crippling its economy, sweeping away its government and bringing chaos to the heart of Europe.
In 1946-47, perhaps half a million Germans starved or froze to death in their ruined cities. Older Germans still shudder at the memory of the “Hunger Winter”. Some blamed the Nazis, others the Allied occupation. In fact, the British sent food, fuel and clothing they could ill afford to spare themselves.
Now Europe’s largest economy is heading for a winter of recession, rationing and possible blackouts. This time, though, there is nobody to blame except Germany’s complacent – and in some cases corrupt – political establishment.

Yes, I've just seen she's appointed that awful culture war queen Suella Braverman as Home Secretary. A women who appeals to the lowest common denominator, I saw a recent interview where she answered genuine questions by ranting about wokeism at every turn. A cretin of the highest order.I'll see your 12 months and raise a no confidence vote by the end of November. January GE probably with Boris at the helm again
Seen her on Question Time a couple of times, a real nasty piece of work!Yes, I've just seen she's appointed that awful culture war queen Suella Braverman as Home Secretary. Her appointment is like escaping from Fritzl's basement only to end up in Fred West's garden.Seen her on Question Time a couple of times, a real nasty piece of work!
