Hudds sign striker - Collosus of Rhodes remains?

Wouldn't be surprised if a deal isn't on the table for a permanent transfer now, to release some wages and offset the transfer fee, estimated around 1.2

We won't pay anything for him when we can get him in summer for free. He can't play for anyone else other than us and Huddersfield this season now and no one is going to pay for someone now that can't play for them. We might face some competition for him in the summer, but if he's is as happy here as he says and his family is all settled then we would defo be front runners.

JR is a great fit for us, but age has caught up with him (as it does with us all) & he's no longer a Championship striker.
He wouldn't help keep Udders from the drop, but he'll help us reach the playoffs.
JR loves being a key player at BFC & wouldn't want to return to Udders to make up the squad numbers.
It's a win win win.

Becomes more about speed of thought as you get older and less about working for it. Play to his strengths and he's got some years left.

I would wait till summer
In the unlikely event of our own promotion we would have to assess whether Jordan could cut it in the Championship.
L1 yes sign him up

Depends on the system . Give him the ball and he ll finish it .
Just need to get the ball to him.

I hope age catches up with him as quick as that spring chicken who recently signed for Hull.

This is Blackpool though. We won't pay when we should, and probably will pay when we shouldn't.
All depends on Hudders and if they want to play hardball.
Did see a rumour that their Danny Ward might be wanted, which would change things again.

Players can sign pre-contracts when they’ve got 6 months left so why would Rhodes want to sign for us now? If he stays on loan he keeps receiving his full Huddersfield wage, but could sign a pre-contract for us or any other club now for the summer (where he’s likely to have to take a pay cut)

He also could get a signing on bonus from us. Wouldn't be massive but a few thousand chucked on top of his wages can be moaned at.

I never thought Rhodes would fit with Critchley’s style of play but proved largely wrong on that. However, I cannot see him getting much joy playing in the championship tbh he isn’t good enough all round.

Not in the same country. Only abroad and that includes Scotland. Same country is 1 month prior

So, could well be the case that the whole continuing saga pans out in precisely the way all parties would like to see!

Jobs a good 'un ...

They will have to sign another, the 3 they have are injured and when they are fit they are not good enough to keep them up. So wouldn't get too exited yet. It was Warnock that let Rhodes go.
