Wonder if there a few clubs sniffing around him at the moment.

I wondered that and if this is more about protecting the club should summer bids come in. After all it’s effectively a one year contract extension as we held a years option.

Brilliant news. It must be difficult for the club in these situations- we clearly want to tie our best players down to contracts but we are not yet an established championship club, and other clubs have been left with players on long contracts on wages not sustainable in the division below

Marvin gets a two year contract on no doubt better money and we get at least another year out of him- and a higher transfer fee if he moves

Great news. Looks like no option year, so only one more year in effect. But gives us more security.

Yes, in reality we have got him for just one year, so instead of selling him this summer or the January window we can push it on a year. So glad he will be here next season!

Rarely gets mentioned in dispatches these days - is he out for the season now? He'll be 36 in August and so probably not first choice if he does sign.

Theres only 2 months left so we may not see much if anything of some of the wounded. But hopefully by April we will be getting some back, be good to see Keshi in particular.
