I'd be surprised if we were only in for one midfielder. Adams seems like more of a ball-winner than a ball-player.Cheap alternative to Brannagan?
Like Kenny Dougall you mean….?do we want a player who could be dragged away to play abroad in the
most important part of our season
I know what you are saying but we as fans do not know our financial status .Anyone else think we should be aiming higher than the likes of dale, adams, beesley??
More of league 1 signings and not a progressive championship side…
We should be really going hard to sing players like Jeando Fuchs, Simms, Brannagan.
I can’t be the only one ?
That's because of Covid not an African nations tournament every now and again.Like Kenny Dougall you mean….?
Prem U23 players have been very disappointing. They may be more skilful but without the right attitude it is worthless. Would personally prefer seeing players who bust a gut to get into the team, than prima donna's.Anyone else think we should be aiming higher than the likes of dale, adams, beesley??

Kenny travels round the world for World Cup qualifiers which brings him back jaded and jet lagged. That's because of Covid not an African nations tournament every now and again.
And they rarely pick him!Kenny travels round the world for World Cup qualifiers which brings him back jaded and jet lagged.
I think he's more of a holding midfielder, goals scored isn't the only attribute needed to be a good player. That said, 3 goals at that level, with a club that is doing well, is poor.Just looked at this guys stats and he has scored about 3 goals in 8yrs No thanks

I think our own youth will come into play in the near future, so again we need a clear strategy and the headroom to incorporate them.
Once every 4 years, it's hardly an issue.do we want a player who could be dragged away to play abroad in the
most important part of our season
2 yearsOnce every 4 years, it's hardly an issue.
Was thinkingLike Ballard and Simms?
I’d risk it. At worst it’s 4 or 5 games missed at best it’s 1 or 2do we want a player who could be dragged away to play abroad in the
most important part of our season
Win some lose some. As with all types of signings, I think. And U23 loans don't involve committing to 3 years wages. And Ballard and Simms played major roles in our promotion. Was thinking
Woodburn, TJJ and to a lesser extent Sterling
No, Kenny will be off playing for Australia in WCQ at the end of this month. That's because of Covid not an African nations tournament every now and again.
Ever since Crich took over , he is using his knowledge of young , upcoming players that can do a job or sell on. Not pay inflated prices for players that may be able to do a job for us.Anyone else think we should be aiming higher than the likes of dale, adams, beesley??

We can always sell the rest of the team to buy these two and pay their wages.Like Ballard and Simms?
That's what I was getting at in a half arsed way.No, Kenny will be off playing for Australia in WCQ at the end of this month.
Think Critch and Sadler want to buy players with potential and sell them higher, much more sustainable model.Anyone else think we should be aiming higher than the likes of dale, adams, beesley??

You've missed the point. We can always sell the rest of the team to buy these two and pay their wages.
Even so, my point still stands.2 years
Maybe more than one fit one.How many holding midfielders do we need?
Unless he’s a replacement for Stewart etc
2 and next year again because this year's is the COVID hangover tournament.Once every 4 years, it's hardly an issue.
Haven't posted in some time but am still recommending Danny Mandroiu now of Shamrock Rovers, scored 15 goals from midfield last season and rumoured to be on way to Celtic in January window, has it all imo.
His goals and assists can be viewed with search titled "danny mondroiu welcome to celtic? goals" .
Honestly, I don’t know enough about them, but signing players from L2 doesn’t bother me in the slightest if properly scouted. There are quality championship standard players in L2 and even the conference and beyond, some of which we have signed and play for us today (e.g. Soney Carey, Keshi, Ekpiteta, Yates).Anyone else think we should be aiming higher than the likes of dale, adams, beesley??

Barcelona didn't mind with Messi.do we want a player who could be dragged away to play abroad in the

Like Sonny Carey, who is good enoughEx Norwich City youth, working his way back up the pyramid.
Saw him give the pen away and thought, right you've been talking with Hubby.Did anyone on here watch him?
would cost considerably less than current targets and looks every bit as good, hope recruitment team keep an eye on posts. He looks a good 'un....and only 23.
