Doncaster Rovers v Blackpool Official Matchnight Thread 24.11.20

It should be said that I think Donny are a very decent side. All look comfortable on the ball and I'd be very surprised if they didn't finish top 10.

Easy on the eye but look a little toothless in the final third

Thanks everyone, sounds great.

And, forced as I am to listen to Yokel Central playing Yokel West - just for anyone who's thought that Brett's sounded a bit off the pace at times this year, I have two words for you. Andy Lonergan.

All hail Sir Brett Ormerod, broadcaster of the year by comparison.

For the horse racing lovers. Seeing CJ come flying past everybody from absolutely nowhere reminded me of Champ winning the RSA.

Such a comprehensive half of football there. Looking really efficient. The viking is getting better game by game. Marv needs to keep it simple. A couple of silly errors could have been costly.

Well I’ve deliberately kept off here to concentrate on the game & wow we are better in all departments & deserved leaders. This is the best we’ve played so far. Just need to keep it up. 😁

31% possession shows we are playing the ball forward quicker. Donny are playing like we did at the beginning of the season. Keeping the ball but going nowhere.

Is this really Blackpool? Chalk and cheese from the frightened rabbits a few games ago. They is bossing it. Midfield is the difference Douglas Robson hunting the ball at half way , one touch passes FORWARD. Old enough not to count chickens but looks like they have got something in reserve if needed. Good game management , no longer naive.

Absolute class from the Pool. Teams can't handle our pace and pressing game along with the physical presence of Goal Machine. And - may I say - the Chizzmeister is going for the full house. Definitely not a half a loaf night 🏝️ 🏝️ 🍞 🍞 👍

I can see a goal in them, or is that just the Seaside pessimism in me?
Can see ref evening pen up if it wasn’t one. But we are so good will score at least two more

Excellent half that. Letting them piss around with it at the back then taking our chances when they come.

Look like we've got more gears to move into if we need them too.

What a different a few weeks makes.

Perfect storm started by that ballard red card at dons. Players showed some fight, dougal came into side for robson, gretarsson into side, calderwood in, 442, favourable run of fixtures, players gaining confidence, week off to get players on training ground and last 3 halves have football have been as good as we've seen this season. Credit to all involved. Its suddenly much more enjoyable to watch and it feels like we might be onto something here.

See it out tonight get the 3 points and let's get a win at the weekend and a big home draw for the fa cup 3rd round when we'll be tier 1 and 4000 of us can be back there watching! Maybe we can loan out Calderwood to be boris's advisor to sort covid out like hes sorted our defence! ;)

Fear will start to spread through the division after these two away wins. Madine and Yates taking the division by storm...who’d of thunk it!

Who's Douglas Robson?

We need to do a bit of work on our defensive clearances - too much height, not enough distance too often.
Lads doing great so far though, so don’t want to sound negative.
