Blackpool v Crewe Official Matchnight Thread 02.03.21

A few thoughts on that.
1. Crewe are a better side than most we've faced this season
2. We're a better side than we showed in that half
3. Agree with someone who said earlier on this thread, the kick off set the tone for the first 30 mins; it was lazy and sloppy.
That would be me and it did set the tone . I know we are winning but i stick by what i said, bring Dougall on and get control of the ball.

Sign of a decent team is soaking up a lot of pressure then nicking one. That will steady us and NC will hopefully tweak a few things at half time and see us playing better 2nd half especially in midfiel.

I would freshen things up in the 2nd half with CJ and possibly Embleton. We need to keep the ball better
Agree with Bob, this Crewe side are a little like us in early season.
This is a good defensive test. The great Italian sides have won 1-0 after defending for 89 minutes for years.
But I've seen enough of the defensive test now, I'd prefer to see us control possession better in the 2nd half

We need to keep the ball a lot better than in the first half and keep it tight ,crewe will try to close us down again and hopefully we can catch them on the break, but it will be as hard in second as first ,hopefully we get stronger and crewe tire as game progresses and get a couple more goals.
