Well thats was a bit better, but lucky given the start tbh but well take it, now start to play.

41 - Pool force two corners in quick succession shortly before HT and they score from the second, Ballard heading home from Luke Garbutt's excellent delivery. Seasiders have been second best, but they lead.

Fleetwood re not only winning at Lincoln but look to be dominant, has Lincolns bubble burst?
 
Brilliant. Against the run of play, hard work and use of set pieces. Now Crewe will have to push on a bit and once it becomes more of a game of football we will win that as well.
 
Tough first half, but we were strong at the back and worked our way back into it. Good to see a goal from a corner.

We can't afford to give them that sort of start after half time; but I'm not convinced we'll stop them.

A few thoughts on that.
1. Crewe are a better side than most we've faced this season
2. We're a better side than we showed in that half
3. Agree with someone who said earlier on this thread, the kick off set the tone for the first 30 mins; it was lazy and sloppy.
 
We'll take that but we have been far too passive for the majority of that half. Decent last 10 minutes and a little bit of pressure led to the goal. We need to try and look after the ball better 2nd half. It's far too easy for the opposition when our back 4 are just punting it anywhere.

Hopefully they will have expended a lot of energy in that first 35 minutes. Come on pool. Big game this!
 
We've rode our luck at times and some of our distribution from the back has been woeful. The midfield two are struggling to get the upper hand also which has made for a tough first 45. For all Crewe's good play however they do look suspect from set pieces. This could be another game we need to win ugly by keeping it tight and looking to hit on the break or from any corners/free kicks around their box.
 
Yet we have had more shots, more shots on target and more corners. Let's make sure we start the second half like we ended the first.
