Shrewsbury Town v Blackpool Official Matchnight Thread 29.12.20

Apparently Madine throws himself to the ground, the refs know this and it's a case of the little boy who cried wolf.
Then it's piss poor refereeing.
There are far, far more well known players than Gary Madine who dive, and they get decisions given in their favour.

Don't know about you lot but I'm so disappointed by this performance.

I know we have no right to win games but performance wise it's been hugely underwhelming.

The only positives are that Sam Walker looks a fantastic goalkeeper and big Marv is the biggest asset we have.
Absolutely spot on

Shrewsbury has always been a graveyard for us. It's just one of those games. I think the starting XI was wrong, i would have had Turton, Yates and Ward on from the start and I think we have learnt that kaikai is a luxury, Kemp is no CJ and Robson is underwhelming.

A draw would be a good rescue here in the last 5 minutes.

So, so poor. There's just no creativity in this side. The lack of goals have been evident all season and it shows no sign of changing.

Could be more incomings in the window. There needs to be as this team isn't creating anywhere near enough to be promotion material.

I was disappointed with the Accrington game. Yeah it was a point in tough conditions but only one side looked like they were trying to play football. Tonight is really worrying. This has been shit!

Disgraceful performance. Not sure arrogance is the right word but Critchley needs to seriously analyse his tinkering. Players haven't played for a while so there's no need for squad rotation. Critchley knows that Madine and Yates work well together but over the last few games he's not playing them together. He's reverting to the shiite tactics that got us nowhere at the start of the season.

We haven't played particularly well, but we've also done enough to have got a draw.
They got an iffy penalty decision in their favour, we didn't.
That's the only thing separating the teams.
The inevitable will happen on here after a narrow loss, a 1 nil away defeat will be judged like its the apocalypse.
It's just ** tiresome (not aimed at you).

We're not gonna win every game, we're not the finished article.

That's a good summary. We'd still struggle without CJ's pace though. It's the only exceptional thing we have at the moment.
