The u/18s kick off shortly against PKE (10.30), once again behind closed doors, at Meyerscough.
This will be a tough game.
 
I know it's early doors and without being there it's hard to know what, if anything, is going wrong. 0-6 today though gives a bit of clue that all is not right, this following last weeks defeat to Accy.
It is a new squad with lots of players joining the squad from around the UK so that might be an issue but there were 5 names I recognised from last season in today's starting line-up.
However with 3 players in the squad on pro-contracts (Holmes, Hill and Tshola) and others brought in I was hoping for something a bit better. On top of that we an over age player in Ewan Bange.
Still no sign of the rumoured new recruits to the Academy staff plus there is a vacancy being advertised for "Head of Coaching".
If Andy Pilley wasn't a Blackpool fan I'm sure he would be having a bit of a smile about Ciaran Donnelly's decision to return to Bloomfield Rd.
 
Not sure. I've heard 2 stories. One says his health isn't good, the other is that he's OK and will be staying on but there might be some job changes.
