Huddersfield fans are glad to see the back of the Cowley bros. Not in favor of sacking Critchley just yet, but Dan Cowley is available...
Sounds a good idea.Mick McCarthy would be my choice but I still think Critchley can turn this around.
Our defence is looking better but we need to get a settled back four that consists of players being played in their correct positions.
My thoughts exactly. With Mr. Sadlers vision of a great academy producing good young footballers making the club self sufficient, it would be very short sighted getting rid of Critchley. Bring in an experienced league 1 manager, put Critchley in complete control of the coaching set up and the future would be a brilliant shade of tangerine.Good question, as they are NC's signings of course - But Yes I think so.
If the club can afford it (which in current climate is a big if even for SS), I would retain NC as coach, but we need an experienced manager to take the club forward. Bowyer changed his tactics in the 2nd half, firstly to deal with the threat of CJ and secondly the big unit he brought on to ultimately take the points
I have seen little/no evidence of NC making reactive tactical changes so far, perhaps because he is a coach, not a manager?
Average age of starting line up was 26. Not too young, just not good enough, which is down to the recruitment team of Mansford, Johnson and Critchley.I think the squad is too young, and I don't think it is balanced at all. I'm not sure a new manager would be that enthralled. I really want him to do well, but I am worried after that and the Ipswich games. I think SS may be over thinking things too much as well about what type of manager he wants. So, he (Critchley) needs to get some results fast or sadly he will be gone and I really didn't think that was going to happen. I bet Sadler is sitting there with his head in his hands now.
The squad does lack some experience and know-how. Really ? Is it George or Sam ??Probably, but they're some of the worst players to wear the tangerine shirt. The vast majority of Critchley's signings are abysmal.
Are you Karl? lolReally ? Is it George or Sam ??
I honesty don’t see your point of view... and I am trying to be measured. You say this squad is amongst the worse you’ve seen in tangerine ?... but quite clearly they’re far from the worst players we’ve had in fact I’d struggle to name (loanees aside) a handful of better players from squads over the last 4/5 seasons. Are you Karl? lol
I see a squad made up of mid 20's league2, out of contract and U21/23 players. Few, if any, seem equipped for league1football. Recruitment has been poor with a scattergun approach at times...do we need 3 rbs? do we need 3 lbs? An abundance of forward players not ideally suited to midfield, wing or striker roles. Fees paid for Yates and Lubala who look far removed from the level required.I honesty don’t see your point of view... and I am trying to be measured. You say they’re appalling signings but they’re not - most have been quite highly coveted signings most of which were met with excitement.
I see a squad which does lack a bit of experience but which has a lot of raw potential - which if you look at Critchleys credentials and history will hopefully be realised and unleashed given a bit of time.
Were you expecting immediate success ? Were you expecting us to go out and sign million pound players ? What would you have done and who would you have brought in we’re you Sadler or the Manager over the last 6 months ?
