Will this throw Critch's FA Cup Masterplan?

It will be interesting to see if he plays the BSM Cup team with a couple of "first" teamers to replace the young lads.

Would be the most sensible option, play a mix of fringe players that should have enough to get the job done. I wouldn’t play too many first teamers

Far more important games than the FA Cup coming up. Don't risk the best players. If we lose on Tuesday then so what? Very brief embarrassment until Saturday. The earth's still turning and I won't lose any sleep.

Understand your thinking but there's a potential financial reward for progressing to the next round and a few quid from The Forest game would help in procuring new players in January

Concentrate on getting points in the league. There's a lot more financial reward for getting to the Championship

Connolly was fine. Husband was poor.
Connolly was definitely NOT fine.
You need to watch the game again,
Connolly and Husband could have prevented BOTH goals if they hadn't stopped and waved to each other, and just watched their keeper make a desperate attempt at keeping them out.

Totally agree
He may be limited, but never shirks a challenge, never cries off injured and gives his best where ever he is played.
That's just how I see it. Unfortunately ever since we all started saying Husband was having a great season he's been poor, especially his distribution. Doesn't help when the player in front of him is constantly changing of course. The bottom line is the one thing Critchley used to be nailed on for delivering was defensive organisation but this season it's gone to pot. No better than last season TBH. We need to score 2 or 3 to have a chance and that's asking a lot.

We started the season with clean sheets galore but everyone moaned it was boring and wanted us to attack, even if it left us wide open. Merry Christmas 🎄

The ups and downs of football. The great performances followed by not so great. The slips that leads to a goal…either way. The highs, the lows, the good, bad and ugly. Unscripted drama is what it is and what we sign up for. There’s no guarantees, that’s why we follow live sport.

Agree. I remember both Sunderland games in League One that season. Our lads threw themselves in front of everything. This season isn't hitting those heights consistently.

Not saying Connolly is good enough but he is a victim of this shambolic formation. There are others but he stands out the most. CJ is another one. He gets judged on attacking ability but he plays as a left back at times. 20 games in and I still can't work it out.

I think it actually gives him a few headaches - for me, Casey, Gabriel, Morgan and Virtue have all thrown their hats in the ring for Saturday and thought Thompson, whilst inconsistent, had a great game.
