For the penalty it was clear foul on CJ. At least a yellow card.
It was that clear that maybe it should have been red, and he bottled it.For the penalty it was clear foul on CJ. At least a yellow card.
Same lad, Hutchinson I think, made a bad foul in second half which should also have been a yellow, didn’t get one for that either, shocking really.Should have been booked simple as.
Because he didn't play in a tangerine shirtFor the penalty it was clear foul on CJ. At least a yellow card.
I thought at the time it was too far to the side to be deemed an obvious goal-scoring opportunity, hence no red cardIt was that clear that maybe it should have been red, and he bottled it.
The rules this season are that you don’t get booked it you made a legitimate attempt to play the ball but then give away a pen. You only get booked when no attempt to play the ball is made. The Reading player attempted to get the ball ️ so no yellow card - simplesFor the penalty it was clear foul on CJ. At least a yellow card.
But the ref kept the game flowing. Rather that than a, ref who loves being centre stageThought he was a weak, poor ref to be honest,
Good post. I didn't know about the rule change so I was also thinking the ref had bottled it.The rules this season are that you don’t get booked it you made a legitimate attempt to play the ball but then give away a pen. I thought the ref was excellent and got everything right for both teams - he also let the game flow. In Rhodes interview he says that the ref said to CJ after his second goal that he would have pulled it back for a pen if Jordan had not scored - great refereeingGood post. Tbf their player was simply beaten for pace by CJ
Clearly a pen, easy decision for the ref, who was consistent as posted already.
I noticed that, he was about to blow, let play continue and it was in the back of the net before he had to pull back play. Good refereeing there.I thought the ref was excellent and got everything right for both teams - he also let the game flow. What game where you watching the game flowed he allowed advantages and wasn't whistle happy.Thought he was a weak, poor ref to be honest,
So if you miss the subsequent penalty the player still doesn’t get booked, so he’s got away with a clear foul which anywhere else on the pitch would have been a yellow card all day long. The rules this season are that you don’t get booked it you made a legitimate attempt to play the ball but then give away a pen.
