The fact it's not guaranteed I'd love to be back in the Championship but then after this season and seeing all those missed opportunities I'd love to walk this league next season.
 
The last season we were in the championship was so poor it was depressing.
SS needs to spend a fortune to make our current squad competitive at that level - and that's with the loanees!
 
We all said at the start of the season that we p**s this division this year and we haven't. Getting promoted means an improved quality of football with better footballers. If we go up then we sign better players as opposed to us being in league one
 
Championship, local derby’s with pne, Burnley and Blackburn
Critch did well in the championship before he left & with the extra revenue who knows we could get Dembele and Jerry back, probably not but possibly
If we stay in league one I definitely don’t think it’s a given to go up with the teams that come down & the likes of Wrexham coming up
The consolation for staying in league one would be going away at Wrexham and Stockport
 
The Championship is a no brainier
Those who would take a poor season in the Championship are fooling themselves because this forum would be in meltdown every week with the usual slagging off of NC
Wrong set up, mis-timed substitutions, square pegs in round holes, and the rest.
I’ve been fed up of hearing it repeatedly this season so for me it’s a positive season in the Championship
And by positive I mean finishing in the top half.

And if I'm honest if we go up or not, a new head coach, or at the very least a decent no 2, who can maybe push NC away from his innate conservatism.

I'd rather go up but if we don't it'll be a fun league next year anyway and we can continue building our squad and be more ready to go up.

Also this time not coming off the back off a terrible season, this time we'll be coming off gerring very close and having let go fully of the losing mentality we had.
