As I doubt there are any Nuclear shelters still fit for purpose and I don't really go with the taking the doors off and whitewashing the windows what would you do.
With only four minutes warning I doubt going to the pub is an option as it takes the wife a good 3 or 4 hours to get ready to go anywhere.

I wouldn’t worry too much about being under it as anywhere within about a 25 miles radius you’ll be vaporised in seconds.

A member of our aircrew told his wife to take their year old daughter and head in the car for North East Scotland just prior to the Cuban missile crisis, I felt Mum was pretty safe in Blackpool but Dad on the other hand was running a pub in the Southend area so not so safe.
