What’s MM afraid of?

Was working nearby, so decided to take in the match before driving home. Great choice!
Why is he so afraid of having our best, most creative players on the pitch at the same time? That’s Poveda in behind, Bowler and Morgan wide, and Jerry up front. Whatever the problems and imbalance elsewhere in the squad, I really believe those four are as good as most teams in the division, and would cause problems for any championship defence ( noted we only own one of them, but that’s for another day). His tactic of being physical and solid defensively and staying in the game isn’t working. That’s 2 points from 4 games, when in our situation we really needed at least 7. And I believe 7 was achievable.
We need wins now. ‘Pecking away’ and getting the odd draw won’t cut it.
The red card may have done him another favour. Surely he has to pick those four on Saturday, with Kenny + 1 in behind?

It’s as simple as that, but that’s far too expansive for him and he prefers to try and make us solid but it actually doesn’t work. We then also resort to lumping and pumping high balls to Yates and Josh Bowler who appeared as one of the two strikers as we went 5-3-2 after half hour or so.

Shocking use of tactics for the players we have.

Crazy isn’t it …. We can still be solid , but have the same defensive qualities that we have - just give it a go , we are losing games anyway

He can still make us solid with either a back four and two holding, or back three

Yarkies exist on being stubborn throughout their lives/careers and won’t change tack for anyone. He is a Yarkie end of.

He's afraid of selecting a team that might actually win a game.

You know.........by playing your best players and letting them play!
