I've done about 70 'live' grounds now. However since retiring I can only afford to do grounds I've not yet done. In other words...ticks. this season me wife and dog have really gone for it, taking cottages for a few nights or a week whilst I tick off a ground. On a couple of occasions this has involved me meeting up with friends who've taken a hotel for the Friday and Saturday. However, have I got a win under my belt?....not a sodding chance. OK, a win against Barrow pre-season but that's been it. Once the season got going we did Exeter (0-0), great trip, including a cathedral. Oxford (Hotel with friends). Another good weekend (1-1). Then a week in North Norfolk for the Cambridge match (1-2). And finally to Cheltenham. A week in a lovely cottage in Bourton-on-the-Water, interrupted by a nightmare evening in Cheltenham (0-2).

That's it. No more this term. Wife and dog love these weeks. Me, less so.

No wonder you can't afford to go away the football match is almost secondary with all your costs for cottages, hotels.and meeting up with friends.😂

What's wrong with getting a coach.😜

Hmm. Actually, the only time I took a BFC coach was in 19...God knows when. It was for the second leg League Cup match mid-week v Everton. We lost 3-0 and me and other co-located fans got gobbed on repeatedly by Everton's finest offspring.

yep, totally get what you are saying. Great to have so much to look forward to by planning little weeks and weekends away and then the football comes along and it spoils it. And it can often put a downer on what should be a great time with family and friends.

Every credit to those who continue to go away regularly even just on match days but have to admit it's hard to get up the enthusiasm these days because the football on offer is just not great. One bad performance you can handle but it's pretty much a regular occurrence now.

I don't blame you 66. Decent following last night but the atmosphere was dead after 10 minutes, all so inevitable and deflating. We quite literally offered nothing. Will get to as many remaining away games as I can but would be lying if I said I wasn't thinking "what the f" am I doing here.

You ok Neil?

Mate I live abroad and do my bit by giving my cash for TTV, religiously every Saturday I leave the lads on the session in the local and go back to my flat to watch the Pool, I usually end up a bit pissed and in a bad mood after watching us, I'm sat there chewing a wasp for the rest of the evening on me jack, this Saturday I'm finally going to f the game off and stay out and have some good banter in the pub, its depressing watching us.

You just want to think we have a chance, not much to ask is it.

I got my ticket for the game at Shrewsbury out of habit, but the prospect is currently about as appealing as a colonoscopy 😱
I go for a colonoscopy and gastroscope every year for the last 30years and believe me it’s much easier than watching bfc for the last years
