His best sport is not association football that's why!
Ok, he did well in the 1st half in the last game but also had one good first half in the whole of last season.
You can't carry players like him all season and if he is going to be involved this season I would be more than happy to be proven wrong.

Pace is always a problem in League 1. Only my opinion but I'd rather have CJ with us than against us.

Last season I predicted we'd go down. Was very unpopular for saying it.

This season I think you are spot on. We will win League 1 as champions.

I'm in. We already have a squad of players that will sit in the playoffs. A couple of young loan players and we will smash it.

Furthermore Critch took an age for us to get going in his first stint. That won't happen again.

Anyone with half a brain will know this team isn’t good enough. Maybe play off challenge at best.

This 3-5-2 will be a disaster. Just you wait and see.

That's not true. I played at a brilliant level until my hip went aged 11. I did get back to playing football but without being the player I was thereafter. I played scrum half rugby league after that then moved onto golf and less physical sports!

This is one of the worst Blackpool sides for a long time. All our best players have left like Anderson and Yates.

How many games did Anderson play last season ???
Think it was 5 and 4 as a sub out of 46 with O goals so don’t think we’re going to miss him. Too injury prone
 
We have a very good starting 11 , that back 5 as it will when Gabriel fit with lyons is the best in the league. Trybull norburn and Carey don't get much better either. We just need 2 wingers and a Striker. But that Joseph might turn out to be unreal.

I understand holding a differing opinion to the what seems to be the 'we're getting promoted' consensus but to say we'd do well to finish 12th or above is a little strong.

That said, you'll enjoy this upcoming season more than most if a top half finish represents your barometer for success

Pennington and Ekpiteta would walk in to any side in this third division as would a fit Gabriel and Lyons isn't that far off.

Back to the o/p walk this league is just blind optimism when they are a few teams with bigger budgets and better squads.

I remember last season a question to Sadler about budgets he clearly stated in the Championship we'd be in the bottom 4 but in Lge1 in the top 7 and that's where we are and what we look like as a team.

I've watched live our new signings and they've all fitted in very quick and look decent even the back up goalie is, as a formation I like 3-5-2 over 4--3-3 or diamond formation as we haven't the players for 4-4-2 and when we started bringing in these guys it was pretty obvious that's the set up we where heading for.

Long hard season ahead top 8 should be achievable no guarantees but piss the league NO.

Husband wouldn’t and Lyons on the left would be counter productive.
 
Need more threat going forward if we are going to be successful.

Also we need to play our players in their best positions.

We have a squad that is more than capable (except strikers) to finish to 6.

The loan signings will be crucial.

Unfortunately yesterday we looked short of wingers especially down the left and yes another striker. When we brought 10 players on none were out and out strikers.

This was Hibs reserves not first team.

I'd like to think we will be a strong top 10 candidate but need a bit more quality.
 
Blackpool never piss any league. I go into the season hopeful that we can do well and anything less than a play off place would be disappointing.But I've watched them for too many years to know that nothing comes easy to us. Think the o/p is way too naive with his over confidence. Hope he's right though.

I’m always glass full and overflowing. I’m with Mike on this one Jaff.
We are going straight back up!!!

Difference this season to many others is that as we approach the first match our entire squad is permanent signings. They’re committed to their contract and ours. No fear of being recalled or not here next season unless we choose. I don’t recall the last time we could say that?

Also the signings are all (on paper) bang on. Norburn, Penn, Joseph, Morgan - all proven at this level and no ‘hope they can step up’ discussion needed. On top of that we retained the many of the players who were capable in the Championship under Critch.

That’s a perfect, bedded in mix.

We need a couple of players in to bolster the attack. I think they’ll be loans unless there is a good permanent striker that comes available (I don’t think any have tempted us outside of Joseph) and might be back end of the month?
 
To me we are still short of 2 strikers, a wide man, a left back and a left sided centre half. All would need to be quality and challenging for a first 11 place. If we had got those five extra recruits then we would have the tools to be Champions...as it stands I think play offs at best and finish somewhere between 5th and 12th. The league is very poor at the bottom end and is there for the taking.
