Weirdest Ground location

I used to work at Kew Bridge overlooking a small patch of land. I couldn't believe it when Brentford announced that they would be building their new ground on it. Somehow, they achieved it.

They should have called it the Planes, Trains and Automobiles stadium!

i lived in gran canaria - some odd grounds there built into mountains etc... played some local league stuff - odd grounds in odd places

I seem to recall Darlington's old ground was a bit odd when we went there in 80's.. away fans got off the coach and were then marched down some weird back alley with high walls to get to the turnstiles.. made a great noise when we came out signing though, after thrashing them 4-0!

Springfield Park, Wigan in the old Shevington Rd end. We stood on grass embankment with timber railway sleepers.

Always found Limericks football stadium (Markets Field) location sort of funny

You have a few pubs, next to them the prison, next to that the mental hospital then the stadium then the graveyard

In many ways Old Trafford is a weird one - you see it all lit up from the sky on European nights and it looks like it could be anywhere .. in truth it's in the middle of a slum!

Anyone ever been to La Coruna .. on a Main Street in the middle of a town?
Not been to watch a game there, but stayed at the other end of the city and walked along the seafront nearly to the ground. One of the great walks to get to a ground with the sea pounding in.

I liked the lifestyle there, if you had a Euro for a beer you could make a night out of it just standing in the streets of the old town and people watching. Thus nearly the whole city seemed to be out on a weekend night.

Grimsby Town’s ground not being in Grimsby but in Cleethorpes. Bet a few have been caught out going there over the years.
