Weirdest Blackpool FC signings

Unbelievably correct. Any idiot knew Reid was 20 games away from fitness and having watched Beattie before he signed it was so bloody obvious he wasn't up to it either. One of those wages, ahh......

Tap it in Ted, Morgan, Summerbee were proper weird poop.

I think the idea behind Ted was that he was meant to come in as a coach. Once he left, we did have a downturn in form. Not sure if it was coincidence or down to his coaching skills.

I learned recently that we actually tried to sign Sheedy before he went to Everton on the 80s and at one point,we were the only club interested when Liverpool made it known to him that he could go.

How things could have been different with him!

Probably the single biggest disappointment of any player I've ever seen. He'd been brilliant all through my childhood and he was so shit for us it wasn't even funny.

It might be the same guy, but we signed someone and he was about to come on for his ‘debut’ and I think the other side got a corner and scored so they decided not to bring him on… he then never started and left.
