Nothing has changed!

Every time we lose the worst aspect of our fan base come to the fore - like at sleepdale!!

Critch is still an amazing manager, listen to his post match interview - he was as disappointed as we were!

We have to calm down…. But to me it is clear you need stealth and skill, and physique and power to progress in the championship! The Viking, Marvin and Rich Keogh have got this!

We need 3 things - either play Carey with Apter as his understudy, or loan / sign a Creative midfielder.

You know, Armand Gnanduiillet would be perfect for us right now - anyone remember how he terrorised the Reading and Arsenal defences.

Staying up is our goal, not sneaking into play offs and promotion before we are ready!!

Believe!! Never let go!!

We should scrape through this season but we won't next season without an influx of quality.

We’ll get an influx of quality in January and most fans at the start of the season were of the mindset that if we don’t get relegated it will have been a success of a season, obviously some of us had the unrealistic dream that we may sneak into the playoffs but nothing wrong with dreaming anyway it’s all gone a bit pearshaped but we’ll be fine

I hope so, but the current poor run is one of Critchley's own making.

I think critchley has done a fantastic job so far but totally messed up recently with tactics & team selection,we’ve got a big squad now a lot of players have come back from injuries & in a strange way it’s hindered us due to the fact that he can overthink things & tinker where if we had a smaller pool of players to pick from he would be forced into playing a more settled side rather than trying to second guess the opposition & picking a team that is unbalanced

Another issue is that in building his squad he goes for quantity over quality. Perhaps it stems from signing too many injury prone players.

I think some got carried away by the run of decent results. I would say any side (and more so ours than any) needs 2/3 seasons in the Championship before getting carried away. The training ground and the East stand need work and actually the squad needs bringing up to a standard where we have 7/8 players who could fit in easily to the Prem whereas at the moment I'd struggle to name more than 3?

There’s no question that the last few games were all winnable, and if we’d taken our chances we would have done. Playing one striker at home is simply poor tactics. It’s ok, if there are two others who come inside and interchange, but ours don’t.

You tell the fans they need to calm down but I'm not sure they are doing anything different to what you are doing. That is offering their opinions.

So basically your in depth critique is 'we need to spend lots of money'? Genius.

You couldn't answer where that money was coming from the other day, have you had a light bulb moment now?

I remember going away to Lutin in the playoff semi. When he came on he bullied their defence off the park. I'm not sure I'd want him back though.

I would take him back in a heartbeat.how many goals do we score now from header's.
Plus he usually won all the defensive header's from the opposing teams corner's

Your words not mine. You may recall Adam cost £500k and some others less and he and others brought quality. Come back to me when you've something useful to say.

Armand Gnanduillet struggled to break into the Hearts team last season who were playing in the second tier of Scottish Football. Not a sniff I'd have him back here.

Outside the odd rare goal, he thrived off crosses being whipped into the box by Feeney. We very rarely cross like that, only player I can think of who can do that is Garbutt. Our crosses always seem to be low and on the ground attempting to find a players feet in the box, Gnanduillet would be pretty much useless in this squad - Madine is a much better option as his actual footballing ability is vastly superior to Gnanduillet's.

He did well for us and he won me round. But the difference between then and now is that Gnanduillet had Feeney putting quality crosses into the box for him to attack. Playing inverted wings means there very little by way of decent crosses coming into the box. I think Gnands would be very frustrated playing as an orthodox centre forward in this team.

I should imagine all our strikers are frustrated at the lack of service from midfield and out wide. Critchley's system is safety first and non creative.

62 - I'll (reluctantly) accept that Kev Stewart falls into that. Reluctantly because criticising someone for getting injured makes it sounds like they're doing it deliberately.

However, the game time speaks a lot, so as I say, give you that one. Who else do you consider injury prone?

Unfortunately, Gretarsson, Virtue, Hamilton and Madine fall into that category. Dale too had an injury when signed on loan!

An inadequate response as usual, totally missing the point.
It's not missing the point at all, you can't come up with any names for 500k so cite a one off from 12 years ago. All your suggesting is that we throw money at the team, do you actually think 500k would by someone of Charlie's class now?

Like I asked two days ago, where's this investment going to come from?

Players do get injured. We took Dale because he was wanted here and we were prepared to wait till he was fit. How anyone can say Gretarsson is injury prone mystifies me - yes he got a knock early last season which cost him a few months sadly (and has probably put his Blackpool career in reverse), came back and got assaulted in an aerial against Fleetwood. That's not injury prone.

I don't know enough about Virtue or CJ prior to us to comment, but if you're basing it solely on them being out for a long period while with us, then I think you're being really harsh.

I've already answered that question, keep up man. It's up to our much heralded coach to identify quality affordable players. £700k for Gabriel, similar for Casey and potentially £500k for Dale suggests that we may have some cash. You seem to think you know plenty so let's hear who you think we should be going for, names, positions and likely cost please. Come on don't be shy, add something to the debate.

No, you're the one suggesting investment, I've not said anything, a couple of loans and we'll be fine, so who should we be bringing in for the magical 500k?

You don't like debate without being abusive do you?

Precisely, you're light on content once again. Who have you got in mind to borrow?

I've no idea, I'm not a football scout.

Stop avoiding the question and misdirecting, who should we punt 500k on after we've saved it not buying Dale? You're the one with the apparent in depth player knowledge after all.

Injury prone? Two of those had one major injury, namely Hamilton and Virtue. That's not injury prone, which would involve constantly getting a series of injuries. I'm not sure Madine falls into that either. I'll give you Gretarrson, although currently he is fit.

Perhaps because your knowledge of football is very limited. Difficult for you when the boot is on the other foot and you're the one expected to answer the questions. I'll give you a couple of names to start you off, Brannagan and Fuchs. I doubt you've heard of them.

Ha, you're such a **, all you do is get abusive when anyone questions your posts, why the fuck wouldn't I have heard of someone who literally played us in the play offs six months ago and was all over the rumour sites as being a target for us, they even turned down a bid so doubt we're prising him away for 500k fella 😀

Well done with pulling an obscure gem no one has heard if out there, are you sure you're not secretly a scout?

Right I've stopped laughing now, so who was the other one, Fuchs? The same Fuchs who's been linked this morning in the press? Blimey, another one we've never heard of! You've literally googled 'Blackpool targets' haven't you?

Don't like being challenged do you eh? If you knew of those two why didn't you mention them before? Calling me a ** is abuse and as such will be reported 😁

Why have I been 'challenged', you're just repeating what I said. Why would I be mentioning established targets, one of them our main target form the summer? I'm surprised you didn't name Simms.

You've come up with two names that are already established targets, so you agree with the manager then?

I never Google potential Blackpool targets as I'm so in the know, I don't have to. I can for instance tell you that We've a potential permanent signing on the horizon of one of our exciting young loanees from last season called Gabriel. My sources tell me this is virtually nailed on*

* Realises the 'Blackpool targets' page I Googled on my phone has been left open and not refreshed in 4 months, has a rethink on what tangent to go off on this thread.

Er, wanker, no YOU tell ME what targets you'd go for!

You didn't mention anyone at all, no surprise there. Surprised, however, that you resorted to being abusive 🤣
I mentioned Fuchs long before it became public because I've seen him play up here.
