unsung consistent performer

Saw the headline and I thought this was a Thorniley thread.
Connolly certainly falls into that category but I still think he's not a nailed on RB.
Doing a good job though.
I’m hoping CC can become a recognised RB because that is our weakest position and we don’t know how the Irish lad will fit in and he will take time to settle. Can’t see JG being back before end Jan either.

You think of Connolly as this tough committed versatility player but he also has a lot of quality on the ball. His vision for a pass and he can strike a ball beautifully.

Madine our unsung hero, has a one man battle with the opposing team every game allowing our players to play
He's not unsung though is he? We all recognise Gary's ability. He pulls his tripe out game in game out and we luv 'im.

Love Connolly, get the impression he is hard as nails, and not the showy “look at me I’m tough” persona, just no nonsense, slightly frighteningly intense, steel.

Connolly is a great utility player, did well yesterday and got away with a nailed on handball.
Thornily quietly gets on with his job, and agreed he’s better than those that wrote him off earlier in the season, he’s really shown he’s up for the job in this division. Great performance yesterday.

Thorniley & Connolly have stepped up when they've been needed the most, and the way they're playing, one or the other may be vying for player of the season 🍊
In particular Thorniley, a good Warrington guy, has matured into his role & (I admit to once doubting him due to his lack of pace & height).
