The personalities are still out there... it just takes longer to get to know the top players because there are so many more of them, their behaviour is more tightly "controlled" by regulations... and errr... the unlimited alcohol during matches has gone (where we could get to know the "real man" quicker
)

I watch snooker.
Played a lot in my younger days. never very good but have been in a few teams in a Civil Service League.
Do they still exist?
Don't know if they have them now.
My dad was a better player than I.
