Tyreece John-Jules

"Blackpool had Everton striker Ellis Simms on loan last season, and they gave him 24 appearances in the four months he spent with them. John-Jules will now hope to take that spot in the team for himself for the full season."

I reckon we will still try to bring Simms in.
I doubt it now Voy but I hope you're right.

Welcome young man, big step up from Arsenal to the mighty BCF in the championship, yes, the championship. So what we expect is effort, energy, enthusiasm, entertainment, and of course loads of goals.

No pressure though.

From Donny forum...

"Be interesting to see if he's regained that blistering pace he had in his first spell with us."

Some clubs sending loan players to us will expect NC to turn any under performing players into world beaters
which isn t always possible.I see that Newcastle have got rid of Elias Sorensen who was with us a couple of years ago.

Here's what cat from Red Dwarf has to say anyway..
Theres some funny posts if you follow that twitter thread with Danny aka Cat from red dwarf replying a lot.

Our next signing?

Seems similar to Jerry from those clips, quick feet, looking for a goal all the time, doesn't give up, can certainly leather it, couple of poached goals from mistakes.

Imagine the 2 of them giving defences the run around, with Demi and CJ getting the ball to the box at speed.

If we assume two defensive midfielders, who will the 4 attacking players be?

Jerry is nailed on. Then it's 3 from CJ, Demi, Keshi, Tyreece, Sonny, Shayne and Josh.

CJ and Demi seem to be front row of the grid at the minute. And then it's a toss up between Keshi, Tyreece and Sonny for the other spot, I guess. We have a fair amount of competition for places already, and probably another 2 or 3 to come in yet.

I'm thinking the attacking 4 against Bristol City will be Yates, Mitchell, Carey and Hamilton.
Its the defensive 2 that worry me right now with Dougall and Stewart maybe not available!
Have we got enough cover in that area, I'm not so sure.

Anderson instead of Carey if fit. Too soon for TJJ probably, unless he hits the ground running.

Defensive midfield we have KD, Stewart, Ward, Antwi, Trusty. Both Connolly and Reece James were described as players who can play defensive midfield but neither looks ready to step into that position at the moment. With Virtue out for ages and Stewart looking injury prone we may well be short I reckon. If Kenny is missing we are very short.

Tough call between Anderson and Carey but if he is fit Keshi would be first choice.
A lot of the cover for the other 2 midfield places with the exception of Ward is either makeshift or very inexperienced.
Dougall and Stewart are going to be so important this year, if we are going to have anything like an ok season we need those two available more often than not.

Ward slots in with either of them very well.

Some high class Lineker esq goal poaching there. In addition to the brilliant improvised finishes and first time shots. High hopes for this lad if we can keep him fighting fit. ⚽👍

Are we not overloaded with strikers now?
Maybe some of them would be shifted onto the wing?

Tyreece John-Jules is definitely exciting, even Arsenal fans are excited that he's stepping up into the championship with Blackpool.

I don't think we're over-loaded at Striker. We have 3 natural CFs by my count. I think TJJ is an exciting complement to Jerry Yates, and a definite upgrade over Gary Madine.

That link contains a bit more on why. I think he's a really exciting prospect and I hope he can settle in enough to start against Bristol City.
