Win for the Imps would leave Oxford just needing a win (unless our goal difference changed dramatically)
Defeat for Barnsley and if we beat them on Saturday they face Northampton at home. We'd need to beat them by 2 clear goals next week for them to have to win the game, if not a draw would do.

Not fired?

I bleed Tangerine?

Bleeding sure failure again next season.
Failure again next season?

How is being within touching distance of the play offs this season a failure?

Disappointing maybe. Boring at times I’d agree. But a failure, catastrophe, a disaster, or even “The Worst Trip” it certainly isn’t.

Because it’s a SHITE league and we’ve dropped points to the following WOEFUL teams:

Fleetwood away - 2 points
Port Vale home and away - 4 points
Cheltenham away - 3 points
Burton away - 3 points
Cambridge away - 3 points
Charlton home and away - 4 points
Wycombe home and away - 4 points

When you sit back and look at the lost points to the absolute DROSS in this division Critchley should be sacked. It’s unacceptable, simple as that

Teams do lose matches. In every league. That doesn’t make for a SHITE league.

I think Oxford will beat Lincoln they are in such good form. I think Portsmouth will beat Barnsley to go up as champions. Can we beat Barnsley ? Who knows. Keep Hamilton out of the side and we may have a chance.
What - after the 'stormer' he had today!? Are you mad, pd2010!? I'm still not convinced, though, that his name should be amongst those considered as 'automatic starters', when 'football wunderkind' Herr Critch is in the process of drawing up the teamsheet. But I, naturally, defer to his greater level of experience and 'expertise' - as well as his continuing obsession
with a certain Mr CJ Hamilton ...

Ultimately we are just shit and can't score.. critch happy as clean sheet and win 1 nil but for rest of us dull.. boring and crap... so tues doesn't matter

Depends how many Portsmouth score against Barnsley. If Barnsley get battered on Tuesday their goal difference will be worse than ours before we play them.

Of course it’s a bloody failure. Top 3 squad with more depth than any others, big budget, didn’t want for anything Critchley and he’s made a right dogs breakfast of the whole season. To not even make the top 6 is beyond abysmal.

I presume thar Hamilton had a stormer today is being sarcastic or I must be mad !!!

It's all down to points dropped. Starting at Exeter, 0-0, Port Vale 0-0, Leyton Orient 0-0, Lincoln 0-3, all games we should have done better in.

Jump to Charlton 2-0 up and then concede 2 late goals, the writing was on the wall.

On the whole, our away form has been abysmal, Portsmouth apart, our home form good Peterborough apart.

Again the refereeing standards have been abysmal usually against us. Rhodes sent off vs Portsmouth, could we have done the double with 11 men? Rhodes fouled in the box and out of action for a number of games vs Charlton, should have been a penalty, and many other decisions which have cost us dearly.

OK, I agree a lot of the football has been boring, I'm not a fan of the three at the back and five midfield, but who am I to give advice, as I'm only a fan who has watched football for 70 years I'm not qualified.

I am a supporter now of Blackpool 1. 🥴

Hopefully some will have learnt from this season of expectation and disappointment and we will come back with a bang. I truly hope so.

It will be interesting to see what happens tomorrow, with football always lots of twists and turns before the fat lady sings 🤣

We don't need to worry about goal difference, for us to catch Barnsley it would mean they'd have to lose 2 and draw 1 (-2 GD), and for us to win 2 (+2 GD), given the current GD is 3, it cannot be a factor.

In other words if all victories ( 1 draw too) are by 1 goal margin Barnsley will have. GD of 18 whilst we will have GD of 19.
