Transferring digital tickets

Can you have it in more than one device?
If you upgrade your phone is it easy to take off one and put on your new phone ?

People upgrade their phones all the time.

You must be able to get it on another device, as if you changed phones mid season you wouldn't be able to attend otherwise.

Maybe some useful info ?
Been to renew season tickets this morning. I asked about games I can’t attend & transferring digital ticket to someone else ?
“You can transfer any game to a paper ticket, no cost” the lad & 2 ladies serving all said the same.
Good news I guess, although I suspect they'll be another way too.

Said when they first announced it you could just phone up and tell them your phone won't turn on and can I have a paper one. As long as the collector has your client ref no and address it couldn't be a problem.

Ok we are a group of 3 ST (Seniors) that sit together. When one of us couldn’t go we went to the ticket office paid the difference (Adult) and got a ticket for one of our sons/daughters who live in (and visit from) London/Leeds. When I renewed our 3 last week I was told this would still happen just need a screen shot/detail of the ST being transferred.

I don't think this is the club being sneaky - same with my gym - used to be able to swap a digi card with mates but now it all has to be done on the phone which means it's more difficult to do - sign of the times I guess.

This digital malarkey is all well and good fit STs but how will it work for pay on the day?
Presumably, you have an online account, you buy a ticket, it appears on your phone and you scan it for entry.... Miles easier than faffing about with postage or collection 👍 👍 👍

I thought as much, but if your just a casual fan or a visitor your not going to set up an online account just for a game or two

Its the same with carparks. I used to able to pass on my ticket to someone else if I didn't use all my time up.

Why not?

If the process is simple enough, surely you would?

Maybe folk are just getting their knickers in their twist unnecessarily (assuming the worst) and the new system will be very easy to use.

Let’s face it, most of us are purchasing our products online these days and using digital tickets for the Cinema, Theatre, Holidays, etc.. and we all manage perfectly well.

None of the examples you quote require any sort of account, you buy your ticket you get sent an email with your ticket, usually QR code.
Also ae people have said in the past not everyone has or wants a smartphone

All of them require an account of sorts though… I mean, what’s an ‘Account’?

You seem to be assuming it’s some massive big deal, when in fact it’s a Name, Address, a Password and a Phone Number (less data input than we’ve input writing these posts).

You might then get a link from the Club and maybe need to download an App… All very basic stuff.

I think you’re letting you’re imagination get carried away.

To be honest if you've bought the ticket then you should be able to give it to whoever you want.
Like buying a selection box and being told if you don't like the Snickers you can't give it to someone else!

I've just renewed my season tickets online and I was expecting some explanation of how it will work ie that you need a smartphone and brief details of how to use your phone at the turnstile.
I was also expecting it to confirm email addresses as I renew other people's tickets.
I don't even know if the club has the other people's email addresses so will they send all the tickets to me.

It didnt do any of these things or even say entry would be by digital ticket. I wonder if this is explained if I had gone into the shop and bought my ticket over the counter.

It didn't even give me an option of asking for a card.

I don't usually use digital tickets but appreciate its the way forward so have no objection but would like some idea of how it's gonna work before I hand over my £350.

I just feel communication coming out of the club is non existent.
Its just a strange way to do business and treat customers.

If this was amazon or eBay I wouldn't be giving them my business.

I think BFCx3 is right and people are just assuming the worst and that it's a big ploy on the clubs behalf to do people out of money and getting their knickers in a twist over nothing.
The reality is digital tickets are used everywhere now and it's already been said paper tickets can be issued if needed. You don't have to go digital if you don't want to either but it'll just cost you twenty quid. You can't hold back the tides of change so there's no point trying.
Emails will be sent mid July to download ur digital St onto ur phone with full instructions on how to do it.

Sums it up well. I’m no techie but just about manage to keep my head above water on it all and like you say still don’t really have a clue what it all entails. Mind you asking for technical advice from some In the ticket office is asking for trouble in my opinion 😀

If your a visitor u would have to anyway because of the stupid rule u can’t buy a ticket unless ur on the system crazy with all the visitors Blackpool gets

not very basic if you don't have a smart phone so can't download the app, is it mary? Maybe it's you who is making assumptions!

It seems everyone is just being charged the lower amount, the charge for the card will come later for those who want it.

That's online anyway, you may be able to pay for thr card now in person, but online is limited.

They will no doubt advise us of how to get the digital ticket in due course.

No , you can’t buy the card in person at the ticket office .” Come back in July “ !

You can't pay for the card until mid July I was told when purchasing my ST at the club shop probably the same time as the emails for digital are sent out.

You say you don't have an account, but when you initially order, you'll give your personal details and the email address. In effect, you have created an account.

Granted, but if you rock up to the cinema or theatre, you can pay and receive a paper ticket.

Send an email to club asking the question rather than asking avftt.

I sent an email asking if I can upgrade my grandson ticket to an adult ticket on the occasions he can't go. They confirmed you can but I didn't ask how that would work. I assume i will have to go in and they will issue a paper ticket.
My point being send an email to ask the question and you just might get the answer.

Yeah but where's the misery value in that for the moaners?

You still have to have an Account to be able to purchase a paper ticket at Bloomfield Road, so I’m not sure what the big deal is to be honest.

The new system isn’t a QR code based system.
