And Lyons and Connolly can and have played fullback and Dale came to us as a winger. I’d like to think that he has realised that Marv cannot play in a back 3. It may be wishful thinking on my part.

Good sign that Rhodes is on the bench, means Hudders aren't bothered if he's cup tied. I wonder if we have a deal agreed for him in January? I hope Weir gets a chance too at some stage.

Why is it a meaningless game? It’s the FA Cup, we’re not playing in Europe every week why not try and have a run in it? Look at port vale in the last 8 of the league cup with a chance of making the semis

Couldn’t really care less about the cup and our recent history suggest we are unlikely to do much . A cup run would be a bonus but a bigger bonus would be to get one of our young strikers firing .
