yep, thank god there were no penalty box incidents otherwise we'd have been screwed. Hard to recall such a poor ref.

Do you know, and I realise you have to be careful about these things, but sometimes my faith in our officials and them being 100% straight is often put to the test. Even if they just give something to us in some games it would make me feel better but he was so pro Oxford is it was unreal.
 
He just waved our players away when we questioned decisions.

He spent 90 seconds explaining a decision to a Oxford player late on when they were still in front.

On three occasions he stopped the game to allow Oxford players who had a knock to gather themselves without insisting that the physio came on. Thus ensuring that the player didn’t have to go off. Mind you the one where their full back got hit in the bollocks was funny….

At the final whistle, an Oxford player charged at him moaning that he didn’t give them time to take a corner. No action.
 
Clear and obvious bias. Either a homer or a secret PNE fan.

Either way, the Club should lodge a formal complaint and refuse to accept him officiating us in the future.
 
The bad ones (and god knows there are plenty of them) seem to fall into two categories. The first are homers and try to placate the home fans at every opportunity by being lenient with the home team but stringent with the away team. He was one yesterday. Every time they went down it was a free kick but he didn’t even stop the game for O-Bs head injury.

The second type which were more prevalent in the Championship is the ‘I’ll favour the “big name” team as they clearly deserve to be playing at a higher level.

Both are unacceptable but sadly growing in number.
 
Well he rapidly needs to learn to respect both teams’.

The money spent on players and club by SS, they train all week, supporters travelling to Oxford and spending all that time & money -
and he treats us like a pile of shîte he’s stepped in outside the ground.

It‘s unacceptable and he needs challenging.

I think that's what the EFL were doing giving him the opportunity. A bit like the people on the various talent shows who cant sing or dance or do comedy or even be mildly entertaining but their family and friends have supported them to the point where they are ritually embarrassed in front of millions of TV viewers.

Needs to be told he's absolutely shit at refereeing and to give it up, but anyone in the game who might say that would be pulled up on charges and fined, probably why saint james of Husband wss given a yellow after the game
 
I looked the ref up and he’s dished out 47 yellow cards in 10 games. Absolutely ridiculous. Hope the club complain about him
 
Radio lancs commentary said we only deserved 1 yellow & they did worse fouls & got none.
Keeping his average up then at 4.7 a game?
 
When he gave his first yellow card out he looked genuinely excited and almost had the card out before the tackle had happened. I can't believe more hasn't been made of how he refereed the game yesterday.
