Today has been a really sad day

Personally think you are a prick who hasn’t made one positive comment in the last couple of days regarding this sad matter. If you can’t say anything nice say nothing 😡
I don’t really think there’s many positive things to be said on the matter. A hooligan went looking for trouble and found it.

It’s a horrible situation for his family and the family of the Burnley fan who punched him. There’s nothing positive about it.

Let’s not argue about this. At the end of the day, a man lost his life, a family lost a loved one and a whole community lost a man who was loved by a lot of people. That’s all that matters right now, not who was to blame, why it happened.

The Club are showing compassion like a lot of us are, times like this needs everyone to stick together and support one another. I’ve had messages from fans from Newcastle, Swansea, Arsenal, and that’s all that matters right now.

RIP Tony, my thoughts are with everyone.

keep your options to yourself at this sad time you bellend

In hindsight, this isn’t the time or the place. I’m sorry if my comments have upset anyone and I’m sorry for your loss.

And don’t you think the family read your negative rubbish…… do one troll 😡

No surprise a Nobber who knows nothing has a pop, supported by two Nobbers.

Leave it alone.

You should go and read some of the comments on there’re own board from today some are just shocking to read I can’t believe the mods have left them up.
FFS show some common decency a bloke has died here whatever your thoughts maybe.

It is always sad when someone loses their life no matter in whatever circumstances or reason and my thoughts and prayers go to his family and friends. I've posted a number of times in the past that there are more important things in life than just football and one of those things is family, when you go to a game your family expect to see you sometime after the game has finished.
Hope things get sorted and the family can grieve in peace without any slagging off in anyway.
RIP Tony 😢

They have done. Every single post has commented on how horrible it must be for the family.

A group of PNE fans sent a set of flowers to Bloomfield today and that has been acknowledged on Twitter by a number of your fans.

The comments on the forum and on here seem fair. The issue shouldn’t just be avoided. If anything, it should be highlighted so it doesn’t happen again.

22 men kick a ball around for a bit. That’s it. People shouldn’t go out fighting afterwards.

The mods on PNEOnline seem to enjoy and indeed incite hatred towards Blackpool on that site…….weird really 🙄

You're a disgrace! Keep your insensitive thoughts to yourself. You're not even a Blackpool fan....from Barrow or somewhere, go on their board !

Absolute rubbish you’ve either not read them or your playing the devils advocate.

I don’t think it’s fair at all on the day someone actually dies to say things like he had it coming to him and he went looking for it.

People may well have different opinions that’s a way of life but right now is not the time to point the finger.

Fair enough - I can’t disagree with that Tommy.

It’s raw for a majority, especially Blackpool fans.

I don’t think there was any malice in comments made today. Just people with a differing viewpoint.

Eh Tommy?

Seriously you need to go and read them again if you don’t think there’s any malice in them I just don’t think you’ve bothered to read any have you?

I think the different view points of what actually happened is completely irrelevant today. The family, friends and wider Blackpool community need to have time to mourn. Everything else in the coming weeks can and will be discussed. But today, tomorrow and the coming days, sometimes opinions just need to be kept to yourself because there is too much anger and upset to take a step back and discuss what ultimately will need to be discussed at the current time.

To echo the o/p, the club really did a great job today with the board and manager present and laying flowers in condolence.
I think people sometimes need to keep in mind that the overwhelming majority of fans from us, PNE, Burnley or whoever recognise the tragedy it is and have conveyed their condolences, and many have made a donation. Don't let a tiny minority cloud your judgement of a whole group.

I would also add that I've read one or two comments on Burnley's forum about them being embarrassed and ashamed, but for me it's football that should be embarrassed and ashamed, not Burnley. It's a scourge on the sport that has never fully gone away. It's incumbent on us all to rid ourselves of this lingering violence that still tarnishes football, and leave it behind once and for all. Banter between the home and away crowd is just that, banter. A bit of fun. But as soon as you leave the stadium, it ends and we're all just footy fans going home to our families.
If anything good is to come out of this, I hope it's that those who still get a kick out of this kind of behaviour think twice in future about what consequences their actions could have.

Your respect is appreciated 👍🏻

Fair enough. I’ve overstayed my welcome anyway really. Sorry again if I’ve upset anyone.

The “Gentry” showing their true colours.

You have to be a special kind of ** to post the things that some have put on this thread when they know the suffering, hurt and pain people are going through who’ve lost a close friend.

All to score a cheap point over rival fans.

Why we entertain these sad excuses of human beings on here I’ll never know. This highlights why we shouldn’t.

Well done Blackpool Football Club yesterday. It sure puts life in perspective.

Well said pal👍🧡

Personally think the club would have been better served condemning any form of violence at football and distancing themselves from the whole thing.
Got to say I agree with this, RIP to Tony and my thoughts are with his family.

The whole thing is just so avoidable and tragic, many lives ruined over people looking to fight some away fans is just inexcusable and needs to be highlighted to stop it happening again.

We just don’t need trolls from other clubs on our board at the moment, just ban them all
I've added all these trolls to my ignore list. Since the board management shows no interest in banning them we'll have to do it ourselves.

In fact, I believe the board management likes trolls because they increase the number of posts which looks better to their advertisers - that's all they care about.

I don't mind PNE fans having their own views, we all have but comments like 'feeling sorry for the Burnley fan who faces charges' are a disgrace and just not needed. This is someones Dad (not sure if he has kids) and husband/partner. Petty point scoring to justify their rivalry. Reading PNE Online this morning makes me sick and I'd like to think I am a decent human being who knows wrong from right. The focus should be on the grieving family and leave the other stuff to the police.

TBF this is very much out of character for @Gary.
He's posted plenty of stuff on here in the past and I think he may have had fairly close connections to BFC.

This is actually true.
He is/was about the only poster on AVFTT with reliable inside information.

He used to give us new injury updates before they were revealed to the media and regularly posted the team line-up on AVFTT before it was officially announced.

Could be wrong, but I think he might have worked for Critchley, cos I can't seem to remember him posting any revelations since he left.

His posts weren’t foolish he was speaking the truth as hard as it is to hear after a devastating event. Those pool fans went to go and hurt somebody and it’s ended in tragedy.
Nobody has a clear understanding of the circumstances that led up to the incident. Lots of assumptions are being made.

The posts on here and Knob-Enders-Online are assumptive, based on a fleeting and poor quality phone footage, have no context and are both ill timed and disrespectful.

It’s not the first time we’ve seen a complete lack of class from the knob heads at the other end of the M55 👎
