To snitch or not to snitch

A moral dilemma but as pointed out the correct thing to do is not to wait for it to happen but take whatever steps are needed first to prevent this gathering happening.Your neighbour is selfish and irresponsible and lives are potentially at risk,he should be stopped or if necessary reported.

BFC89 is a clueless idiot.
He’s probably invited, sounds like all 🔔ends together.

I know someone who knows a copper who went to break up a Covid party up in Kirkham. They had a DJ, bouncy castle, the lot. He was expecting a small fine when they turned up. Fair cop and all that. Apparently turned white as a ghost when they told him it was £10k fine for serious breach. Said he was on benefits, and couldn’t afford to pay it. They said it would go to court and the bailiff’s would be round to remove goods.

Stay Away, Stay Safe, Protect You And Yours - that is all you can do. If others are confident its all a ruse etc. Leave ‘em to it, protect yourself and you will be ok - take care, stay safe 👍

He was on benefits but could afford a DJ, bouncy castle , etc?

During the first lockdown, 3 doors down had a huge party on the Saturday. Naively I thought leave them too it they’re young and just having a blow out..... what annoyed me was that they weren’t been secretive about it and they were been ridiculously loud. anyway it happened the week after so phoned the old bill and they were round very quickly..... went in and spoke to them, music stopped and everyone went (unsure wether they got threatened or fined etc) anyway unfortunately this didn’t stop them and they continued to have massive parties every two weeks, blatantly taking the piss and posting pictures all over social media. So I thought I’d start hammering soaked tennis balls into their garden, not much but it made me feel better. Eventually the law caught up with them and they’ve not done it since. So if it was a neighbour I really got on with I’d say have a quiet word and tell them they’ve put you in a horrible position and they should cancel the event..... or it could happen multiple times at multiple destinations.

I'd put a letter through their door explaining that while you aren't a "snitch" that please take into consideration that whilst they are having a nice evening with friends illegally, you are having to shield for your safety, and that their actions won't be helping your situation, and the spread of the virus, and that you hope they think about that while they are drinking their 🍺..

Stitch them up and stand there with a camera on a tripod filming the OB as they arrive whilst you’re shouting “got ya pal, I called them”!
It’ll be hilarious for social media and you’ll be doing your bit for the r rate.
Moral standards and all that.
And as you film your neighbour getting arrested with one hand use the other hand to give him the wanker sign and say don’t worry I’ll take care of your Missus while you’re in Strangeways you Mug........he’ll get the gag and appreciate your humour....he’ll be laughing all the way to the cells 👍

Hire yourself a skeleton mask, a cloak with a cowl or hood and a scythe, and stand at the front gate as the guests arrive, holding a sign that reads “Enjoy the party”.

Socially distanced at all times obviously.

But that's not anonymous. Whether or not people are promised confidentiality, and I understand the need to prevent malicious reports, people are not going to fill in a form and leave a trail back to themselves to report a neighbour.
Normally it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to guess who grasses someone up
