TIME ADDED ON

At least three times in the second half the ball was not returned immediately back in play from behind our goal. This inevitably delayed the game.
Their equalizer was scored in the last minute of the 8 minutes of added on time.
Any thoughts?

I don’t recall 8 minutes of stoppages. How long was Bridcutt down?

Personally preferred it before they let you know how many minutes will be added.

Pretty sure goal went in on 8:20 minutes then ref played another minute after kick off so a good 10 minutes in total.

Keeping the ball in the crowd didn’t help us
I was in the away end where the ball was, and it was pretty clear that when the ball went into our fans, Maxwell turned and said something to the effect of ‘keep the ** ball’ knowing we’d throw it on and delay play again.

I don’t like it but every single set of fans in the country does it, without exception IMO. Nothing to see here.

I know they do. It's normal, so it shouldn't be an issue with getting another ball back on the field, then we had two.
yep, but it's natural to wait for the ball to be returned but it wasn't so they got another ball on the pitch and of course then the first ball is returned. And that's what happened. It's a common occurrence these days. It probably took at least 30 seconds before the actual .play resumed. As for if and how many extra seconds he added on because of it, only he will know. But it certainly didn't do us any favours with a ref already seemingly against us.

That's how low football has sunk that fans keep the ball now. It's pathetic and it helps no one.

Disgraceful behaviour from Maxi. Funny at the time, but I don't like cheating. Lose the moral high ground and can't then complain about the opposition.
The ref did book one of theirs for diving, which was spot on.
