This pilot scheme breaches the club's terms and conditions.

See screenshot, if a crowd is permitted, then all season ticket holders should be able to attend.

The Seasiders’ match with Swindon Town on Saturday has been selected to a part of the ongoing ‘return of fans’ pilot programme, meaning that 1,000 supporters will be able to watch the game live in Bloomfield Road. The Club has decided to invite season ticket holders based on the order in which they purchased/renewed their season tickets.

So it's an invitation event they could have picked anyone.

No, it's a match where crowds are permitted.

M'lud.......My learned friend obviously isnt aware of the 1967 case of Smith, Carver & Johnson v The Crown where the above mentioned paragraph forms a temporary tertiary contract that's not enforceable under UK law within a non written or verbal contract between the club and season ticket holder.

My learned friend is also unaware of abstract of title in acceptance of purchasing a 'season ticket'......accordingly the formation of a contract has not been expressly proved and acknowledgement of service has (in Acquit & Actus Recit) been an ad hoc offer of a 'seat' that may be provided when allotment has been provided by the club......

He's also a bit of a **.........

Behave
Let’s start with a low number then increase if it goes ok...
Primary schools are shutting ...
A 2nd lock down could be imminent

No that's incorrect,no such clause.
There is such a clause.
I have just read the Season Ticket Terms and Conditions 2020 / 21 Season and the opening paragraph actually mentions "The Club reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions...." . The T & C also mentions the provision of a digital voucher for viewing if attendance is not possible, providing it is allowed by the Football Authorities.

You need to quote in full, it goes on to say, where the club does so, we will inform you of the changes that apply and date they take effect.
I've had no email or correspondence stating that they have changed the terms and conditions.

It’s good 1,000 can go in....
Let’s all stay safe and it will be increased,,,,,,,,
As I’ve said before schools have reopened 2 weeks ago....
At least one has fully closed and lots of others have partially closed....

I am assuming they will do that and the reasons for it when they send any email to notify the ararngements for those selected for attendance or for provision of a digital code. I do agree that you need to read the whole of the T & Cs in their entirety. Within those I there appears to be reasonable scope to do this

How's it unfair it's just a little over two days to the game and the club will be breaking it's balls to sort everything out do a ballot would just cause them more hassle.
Unbelievable some shit you read. People going on about unfair. Only 25% of paid up punters can get in.

Also this time about 2 days ago no-one, and I mean not one person thought there was a chance anybody would get into the Swindon game. It wasn't even a thought or a discussion.

We should be buzzing 1k are allowed in as it's a step in the direction of getting us all back in.

I really do despair.

No you don't Ghosts. It's AVFTT. If you truly despaired you'd have packed this site in yonks ago.

There's another post from Seasider where he explicitly says neither he or his wife would go if selected. Serial complainer.

Then it should be non, or do as Carlisle have done and get your t&C's correct from the outset and charge for admission
Why would you charge when it's part of your season ticket package with the addendum of a free I follow pass if you can't get in? Anyone would think you just like having a pop at the club. Your posting history supports that too , except when you're having a pop at local hoteliers.

As I said, see what Carlisle said in their t&C's and have stuck too, they were prepared why couldn't we be?

Jesus Christ man. On another post you said if you were selected you wouldn't be going and nor would your wife (I asked for your ticket)

I don't see why you concerned about some t&cs then if you wouldn't be going ...... And also, pick up your toys, it's a trial event with its own T&cs based around a virus that's killing people

It's not the end of the world now it is

In my opinion, there are a couple of clauses in the T&Cs that deal with this:

Clause 3.3(2) of the Terms and Conditions:
"In order to comply with competition and health and safety regulations it may not be possible for the Club to offer all Season Card Holders the opportunity of purchasing their seat. In these eventualities, the Club will endeavour to offer those Season Card Holders the nearest available seat (subject to availability). "

Clause 15.1:
"15.1 The Club reserves the right in its absolute discretion to change these Terms and Conditions from time to time. In this eventuality, the Club shall notify you should such changes materially affect the rights of any Holder "

Absolutely spot on. The OP is a shit stirrer who I bet won’t be there on Saturday and is bitter about it.
